    Respect the traditions
I listened to the serenity prayer episode only, and I appreciate unique info that was shared. However, I would heed the creators to take a closer look at AA’s traditions. Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of the program. It must be maintained at the level of press, radio and films [podcasts are an extension of this]. No one can be a spokesperson for AA.

    The message is alive!!!!
So thankful I found this. I was suffering in abstinence from alcohol thinking I had done the steps. I couldn’t understand why it wasn’t working for me and drowning in a sea of non AA rhetoric packaged as the program. These guys and their guests made it so much easier to see what the directions in the book are. They even hooked me up with a new sponsor! I highly recommend this pod to anyone confused by AA meetings or unsure of what may be missing in their spiritual practice.

    Refreshing
Is great to hear others working the program, and be able to make fun of all the nonsense. There is a lot of passion and knowledge on this podcast.

    Five Stars
This podcast is a blessing for a newer-comer who has relapsed a few times but has a genuine desire to quit drinking. Love the insight, the wit, and the emphasis on the Big Book. I find myself listening to some episodes multiple times. P.S. the season 4 finale was SO GOOD. Thank you for your time and dedication.

    So annoying
Constant giggling. They take nothing seriously. What a waste of time.

    An awesome tool
So helpful, down to earth, spiritual, and hilarious. Good to know the message is still strong

    Both Funny and Factual
I stumbled upon this recently and I’m binge listening. I laugh out loud at the creative commercials. And I have learned so much about what is and what isn’t AA. I agree with a lot of the opinions these guys have and in turn share some of what I have heard on the pod in the meetings I attend. Thank you for your service guys.

    Newcomers beware
If you are a newcomer to AA do not listen to these yahoos. The people you will encounter at a meeting are not all this bitter and judgmental. They are not all rolling their eyes at you and mocking you behind your back, I promise.

I was circling and spinning in my program and after asking a few questions to a fellow aa I was turned on to this podcast. My unsettled mind settled a little as I realized that I could find a lasting solution, The solution presented in the book ‘alcoholics anonymous’. I am reading the book! This podcast helped me get my program in line with the program. Not that there is only one way. And they are all funny. Thank you from this nation’s Capitol.

    I liked it at first…
When I started to listen to John and Fred, it gave me motivation and inspiration to get through my step work faster and with more enthusiasm. However, 4-5 episodes into the first season, I realized these guys would hate the culture of the program where I live. The sarcasm was funny but as they kept making digs at the same types of people and ways of working the steps, it gets boring and sounds plain condescending and judgmental. While their approach to sobriety is commendable, I think they forget that people find success with the program and steps in different ways. It’s like they’re in high school and part of the cool crowd and you’re not.

    Listen!
Full of solution and sarcasm. These guys know exactly what they are talking about when it comes to the Big Book. I recommend them to anyone interested in the book or anyone trying to gain a bit more insight into the program. I have been listening to a few episodes over and over and getting new stuff each time. So well done and so proud of the message they are sharing!

    By the book
Shoots straight. Inspiring and hilarious. What I love most about AA in a podcast.

    Terrible podcast.
Guests are the only redeeming part of this podcast. Poorly put together and the host seems lost and incapable of intelligent conversation. Very arrogant and not a good representation of the program that have helped so many. There are FAR better recovery based podcasts out there and I’d highly recommend checking any one of those out instead of this. If I could give a negative rating I would.

    Truly Wonderful
This podcast is a great example of what solution based recovery looks like. Whether you’re tackling the steps for the very first time, or have reached a stagnant point in your recovery this is a fantastic place to get re-acquainted with the program and what it REALLY is. It’s based on the big book of AA, and the material is covered in depth by people who obviously know what they’re taking about. It also helps that it’s freakin HILARIOUS proving again that “we are not a glum lot”.

    Fun and solution focused.
Love the format. Super relatable and fun to listen to. Great parody commercials!

    So good
I love this podcast - it’s funny and entertaining but more importantly, it talks about the solution to alcoholism. It’s not the fellowship or the meetings (although those are good). The solution is the 12 Steps and Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. This podcast is about the solution

    The Best!
Great podcast for those who NEED the solution as outlined in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. If not drinking no matter what works for you, skip this. Want to talk about your feelings, skip this. BUT, if you want THE solution to the alcohol problem, this is the place to hear about it!

    ?
Live from their moms basement. Yikes. Not a great example of recovery. Kind of sad actually. Arrogant and not very enlightened. Not a great combo but hey, moms upstairs making them lunch so easy does it 👍

    Honest and entertaining
Great stuff so far, a hilarious but honest discussion about recovery.

    The sponse!
Great stuff, it’s like a weekly modern speaker tape session. Hopefully the intermissions keep going strong! Mad dog woof woof

    Funny and Entertaining
I rarely listen to recovery related podcast but I gave this a try. It's gold! Give it a listen. It's pure solution.

Some amazing solution centered around the first 164. To have a through understanding of what is being talked about I would recommend knowing the book Alcoholics Anonymous well. Not your typical pseudo spiritual recovery podcast, this is about Alcoholics Anonymous coming straight out of the book Alcoholics Anonymous made by members of the 12-step fellowship Alcoholics Anonymous.

    Hilarious and on-point
