This show is so good. As soon as you start listening you’ll have a smile on your face. The production levels are through the roof, the bits are always funny and the slow build up of VGP lore pays off in ways you may not expect. Thanks Chase and David for all of the positivity you bring to the video game space with these hilarious retrospectives! Keep doing what you do!

The Video Game Podcast is one of my favorite podcasts. David and Chase are happy for Thunder as a show. The best games come from childhood. It seems that they have become good friends in life. It was so nice to hear these two friends talk about their passions. I recommend listening to this program.

I adore Podtimism! The format of the show is really refreshing, since it generally means each episode includes discussion of new/recent games alongside older and lesser-known titles. Chase and David also have great chemistry as hosts, and it brings so much fun and lightness to everything they’re discussing. And finally, the bits are hilarious—just as an example, “Enter Chem Sixstrings” had me laughing so hard I cried.

A bottle of stats that has like, 5 little flames or chilis or something on it? Stats that make you reach for a glass of milk because water alone won’t calm the firestorm? Stats with a little mascot that’s an anthropomorphic chili pepper (let’s call him “Picante Pete”) who is breathing fire, implying that the stats are SOOO hot that even a living, breathing hot pepper is like, “Wow, these are some hot stats...even for a living, breathing hot pepper like me!” Look no further. Video Game Podtimism has all that and more.

These boys inspired me to be the Pokémon trainer that I am today. I just hope the fame doesn’t go to their heads.

An incredible find. Chase and David have perfect chemistry and take a simple video game talk and turn it into something funny and insightful and completely worth the listen. Even games I’ve never played I feel like I can envision in my head when they describe them, intoxicated or not. Every time I finish an episode I want to go buy or replay whatever game they were talking about. Perfect score, 5/7.
