The MinnMax podcast is a fun and informative listen. I enjoy their takes on today’s big games and also appreciate the indies they recommend.

I was recommended the MinnMax Show by a friend who has been beating the drum for the past few years. I started listening to the most recent Deepest Dive and was really enjoying the different perspectives the cast brought to the discussion. I was pleased to find that the rotating cast of contributors on the main show are also able cover a wide range of topics while maintaining an easy chemistry. It’s a nice listen.

MinnMax has done an impressive job of recruiting a unique variety of people that bring interesting perspectives from all over the games industry. They often rotate this crew in and out so that every episode has a different dynamic, that makes each one interesting to listen too. They do a great job at covering weekly news topics that gaming fans should know about while also getting to spend a good amount of time reminiscing on whatever random topic happens to get brought up, with fun segments that even include some listener participation. They keep a good amount of professionalism in their talks, but still manage to feel like friends just chatting. There’s something for everyone here including community questions that lead to interesting rabbit holes and diversions. You even learn something worth sharing at the end with their “get a load of this” segment. There’s an extra bonus whenever they are able to get a guest game industry vet, and their other podcasts like Bonus Pod and the stellar Pew Pew Bang are also worth checking out. This is one of my favorite podcasts. Ben brings a certain je ne sais quoi that you can’t find anywhere else. This show has everything most gaming podcasts have, but what sets it apart are its fun games and topics they bring up.
