    Christian bias
Narration is clearly AI, which I didn’t mind until I started to realize all topics are Christian-centric. Especially in the Ouija Board episode. I immediately stopped listening and unfollowed the podcast when it said “as Christians we know” essentially not to consult ghosts for guidance (but apparently an invisible man in the sky is fine). Expressing such a bias is going to vastly limit the size of the audience.

    Love it
    I love the “crossed” reference.

    Wonderful podcast but…
The post is very informative. However, please stop using the term “crossed” when you mean “died.” Hearing “crossed” is so jarring to the ear. Died means died. “Crossing” means what? Crossing to what?

    Fast and Informative
This is one of my favorite genealogy podcasts. The content is great and very well done. But the best thing is that it is brief! I can listen to an episode in all those small snippets of downtime. Waiting in a Dentist office, picking someone up, or just taking a quick break from work. It fits in everywhere. One topic packed into 5 to 7 minutes. Love it!

    Jewish Genealogy Missing
Doesn’t seem to address Jewish genealogy; assuming all families went to a church.

    Helpful but leaves groups out
I appreciate the short length and the info. Please include African American genealogy (of Americans of African descent). And also, please include how to explore if one has slave-owners in their ancestry. I could not find anything on either topic on this show so far. Thanks for your work.

    Informative, instructional, topical & applicable
I’ve listened and enjoyed this brief but useful podcast for a couple years now. About time I write a review! He dishes out helpful genealogical advice and interesting historical insights on people, technology and events in short extremely helpful easy listening chunks. I highly recommend this podcast to any genealogist/family history buff wanting to practice ever more accurate research while understanding where elusive documents relating to hard to track ancestors may be found. Side note: I checked out the author and his website today. Will offers many helpful free services and even ebooks; FREE genealogical ebooks. One CAN leave donations for the ebooks but frankly I didn’t for fear his website might be a ploy to annoy with constant sales solicitations later. After all his surname is Moneymaker. No joke. Yet I have a pretty firm suspicion this guy is actually a very generous very smart fellow who likes to pay-it-forward by enlightening fellow family historians. Thank you Will! He has a regular newsletter too which appears to include genealogical helps complete with illustrations which are not part of his podcast. It might be that his ebooks are mainly scripts written for his podcasts. But that’s great too because his podcasts are enormously informative plus interesting. I have one single tiny niggling suggestion- I do wish Will would reduce the number of “you should” “you must” “you need” statements because they sound a bit bossy or authoritarian. I’d rather hear “You might” “Have you considered” “May I suggest” instead.

nice companion to website & newsletter
Always informative and helpful. I like to listen to the podcast in my car during my daily commute & Will never disappoints! His time and effort in helping other genealogists is truly a gift.
