Nicky Schrire is such an insightful and knowledgeable interviewer, it’s obvious she puts her subjects at ease so they open up and share not just their wonderful music, but also their life stories and thoughts on what it means to be a creative artist in this very special music form. And then there’s the hundreds of amazing interviews by Jason Crane in the Jazz Session archives. I’ll be returning to this podcast for years to come.

The Jazz Session is a great interview show about Jazz. Jason Crane asks consistently good questions that gets to the heart of why and how people make music. I always look forward to the next epsiode. Jason also does an excellent job recording and mixing the epsides so that we get to hear some of the music that is being disussed.

Even though I don't know much about what is going on in the jazz world I find this podcast very informative and enjoyable. Jason does a superb job of interviewing his guests, and he seems to know enough about them to ask questions that delve into their driving force and how it has led them to where they are today.
