Joey is that guy that doesn’t know what he doesn’t know. Not self aware. Need more Tommy.

Loved the old shows with Tommy Ashley, Greg Barnes, and Buck Sanders. Those three made for a great football talk show.

So much better with Tommy as host and not Joey. Joey should be taking notes on how Tommy actually asks questions, minimal banter, offers a quick opinion, gets directly into another question and doesn’t talk for 2-3’min and interrupt his guests. Oh and he also doesn’t talk for 30’seconds in what sounds like actual talk only to do a Fn JTS ad read. So annoying. Thank you Tommy. Please keep it this way.

Could you find a more feminine voice than the host? Nothing about that guy screams athletics to anyone. What in the world?

This is the first thing I listen to after each game. But would like to hear more criticism when it’s earned. I get they prob don’t want to make any any bad mad by being to negative. But I want to hear real talk. The team is playing bad. The coaching is bad. The line up is bad. We got 2 freshman on the bench that need to be on the floor. Coach Davis is failing this team. It’s early so hopefully he soon figures it out. But I doubt it. Withers is still playing with. 2 minutes to go. And Jackson is on the bench. Why???

Mostly basketball & football, but IC does cover other UNC sports & occasionally sneaks in a superstar (Eric Church!). Outstanding content if you love UNC & UNC athletics. Not sure what a reviewer has against Joey Powell, but he (& the other podcast hosts & guests) loves the Heels & knows what he’s talking about.

Less Joey Powell. He’s terrible and doesn’t bring anything to the show. Everything else is great

I love this podcast. JJ has a player’s insight that is valuable and offers a point of view most casual/ rabid fans have not considered. Please return next season!

Love Shooting it Straight with Justin Jackson each week. My only complaint is he is not on the podcast daily! Great honest and interesting insights as a former player!

Huge fan of the team. Love the variety of content provided, love the analysis, etc. I’ve even gotten a tshirt from Johnny Tshirt to support lol. Don’t ever stop folks!

This show has gotten off the rails with the new format of quote, story, etc. We want to hear good analysis of how the team is performing, not trivia. Also…this show could benefit from more of Tommy’s personal insight rather than just moderating AND please bring back Greg Barnes - by far the best IC analyst.

On the beat has fell so far. I have no interest in listening to these guys.

These Guys do a great job breaking down every little thing you may not thing about or realize. They are so knowledgeable and really make everything so clear.

The staff of Inside Carolina do a great job of providing the inside scoop when it comes to the Tarheels. The podcast continues to evolve and proved timely news and also allows for listeners to learn a bit about the players and coaches as well. The podcast and the website are my go to source when it comes to Carolina athletics. Keep up the good work!

... Some of these guys have a voice/tone/personality maybe best suited for print media. Looking at you Ross Martin and John Bauman.

Joey, Sherrell, and Sean do a great job covering the Heels. They have solid insider information, are JUST objective enough (but not too much), but the best thing about the trio is how they “fit” together. Great show on a consistent basis.

Would’ve been 5 stars if Joey Powell would shut up once in awhile. He’s insufferable.

Love the podcast, but one complaint. This is the 2nd time of of the guys has made mention of something - this time it was the rumor of Maye’s possible transfer - while saying “we’ll discuss that more off the air. Please don’t mention it on the air if you aren’t willing to discuss it on the air.

I’ve been listening to these guys for years now and have always enjoyed the humor and analysis. Adam Smith was a great hire but he’s far too nice to Ross!

Dawson Garcia is exactly what we needed to replace Brady. Hate we lost him.

If you are a UNC basketball or football fan, this is an entertaining podcast. However over the past two years the production quality has really dropped off. All of the participants seem to be still working remotely, and it really shows in the connections and sound. It sounds like an amateur podcast of guys working in their garages. Also, many of the podcasts now are just re-broadcasts of live YouTube feeds, and you can really tell the emphasis is to play to the YouTube participants rather than podcast listeners. For higher technical quality podcast and more substantive information I prefer the Carolina Insider podcast, but when I have extra time in the car this is my next go-to.

I really like the Coast to Coast segments of the podcast, especially since they give such honest reviews of the games, player development, recruiting, etc. Great Job, Guys!!

Question I have notice Bateman loves using 2 D- Lineman as a base personal in nickel and even goal line. I noticed it during FSU and Miami, and each team ran the ball great and he never really changed personal. I know in the first year he basically only had Crawford and strowbridge. My question is, is Bateman personal based on having 2OLB on the field at all times?

If you like highly negative and biased info based on how someone “feels” about a football game then this station is for you. Even when things are going well, these guys still could spend half a show talking about how bad a play call was or how bad the team looked. They even complain during wins, or too much time wasted talking about how bad the other teams’ play calling was. Who cares about the other team, Heels just won! Geez. It’s a shame because there is one analyst on the show that gives measurable data based off stats and the percentages. If the show could stick to the nuts and bolts of the game, it would be so much better.

Great coverage of UNC football and basketball. I really enjoy listening -especially since I’ve been out of N.C. for the last 21 years. To borrow from the Roy Williams superstitious school of thought though, quit making the dadgum predictions in The Game Plan episodes. 😂

As someone who’s dying for UNC sports content on a regular basis, this podcast gives me life. It’s well structured, professional, and filled with the best content UNC fans can get.

Updating my review but gotta help out the Coast to Coast crew. RellDMC & Sean Moran have info and Joey Powell facilitates well. Tommy Ashley, Greg Barnes, Sherrell McMillan & postgame pods with Dewey Burke make for a very informed men’s basketball crew. I’m not a huge football guy but they keep me informed enough for football, and the podcasts wore me down and prompted me to subscribe. Good work gentlemen.
