I’m on my second listen through Finally(TM) the Podcast. It’s brilliant. Joe and Grace are hilarious individuals - together, they’re a comedy powerhouse… power bottoms? I digress. I, personally, don’t believe in parasocial relationships but, if I did, I’d imagine these two were my best friends forever. Or a couplet? Marry me?

Writing this because I've finally caught up on all episodes--been listening and giggling with Grace and Joe for weeks now to help my brain and heart through the drudgery of the days. These two absolute comedy geniuses have brought some serious life back into my bones--a gift that honestly I'm grateful for! Finishing now with the recent Spam episode--an episode that I expected was going to exclusively be about the meat treat! There's a rich history of talking about food on this podcast which has made my food loving heart sing! And even though the Spam episode defies expectations (even with a little miscommunication) it still offers some classic G+J magic

- the topic of this week’s 5 star globally famous podcast Finally; - the physical / embodied / “lizard” brain (the preverbal mind) communicating with the linguistic / abstract / “holographic” mind (sorry, I went to NYU Gallatin); - also they are magical and one of the oldest forms of medicine (see: tons of examples from ancient world). I was listening to this podcast while preparing a salad and I cut my finger with a knife and then sliced my hand while opening a can. I don’t think they meant me any harm but the damage is done and unfortunately irreparable (my thumb is fine it didn’t even bleed) (my can cut did bleed but I do think it’ll ultimately be okay)

I can’t think of anything funny to write so I’ll try earnestness instead: I’m a self proclaimed ‘hater of banter’ I generally only listen to podcasts with cold hard facts delivered like I’m listening an audiobook. I follow Grace, Joe, and Finallypod on Instagram (joe plz bring back Dreen) and recently decided to take the plunge and give the actual podcast a chance. Have been binging non-stop! Perfect, gentle, lil pod for when you’re feeling depressed and shouldn’t listen to any more murder, climate change, or North Korea centric stuff (just me?) Finally is quickly becoming my comfort listen and replacing the Harry Potter audiobook I’ve been falling asleep to for the last 20 years or so (which really feels like the right thing to do, because in addition to being funny and entertaining, Grace and Joe aren’t TERFS) Lots of love from the Chicago burbs, muah!
