Just getting into the sport, this podcast is brilliant at explaining the concepts in their simplest forms, while still giving you the glimpse of the whole picture as well. It’s nice to have a podcast that makes getting into seem achievable and avoids the cliched fly shop condescension and arrogance. The episodes are also structured sort of like mini guides that i can see myself referring to over and over when the topic is relevant, such as the casting episode.

Just bought my first fly rod at Fly Fish Food shop and over heard someone talking about the podcast. So I started listening that day. There’s definitely a learning curve to fly fishing and understand all the gear and term is daunting, but the podcast has been a huge help breaking it all down. Can’t wait for the next episodes.

As a newb fly fisher, I have been learning bits and pieces from so many different resources and it gets confusing at times. Immediately I felt like this podcast helped to bring the the concepts I learned all together, basically the fundamentals of fly fishing. And the newb and the knower r entertaining while they do it
