The Native American Wars Podcast

Exploring the history of European and Native American contacts - 1003 to 1890. A new podcast and other web-based materials, based upon the product of your humble author's research of actual historians, archeologists, anthropologists, geneticists, and others.  Some of this stuff comes from legends, oral histories of Native and European civilizations, scientific analysis of genetic populations, anthropological and archeological references, written history and of course our own speculation as to human nature, common sense and our experience.  All of this in context, we hope.

    Not About Native Wars
The hosts PRIMARILY cover Spanish exploration and the hosts’ adoration of conquistadors. In addition, the sound engineering (especially the random annoying sound bits) was one of the worst I’ve listened to. Very hard listen and incredibly misleading show title

    NO SOUND EFFECTS/MUSIC
Get rid of the Producor. Or take the mic away from him. So annoying. The sound effects are ridiculous and completely ruin the flow of the podcast, the corny interjection or dumb noises and beats are awful. I find myself getting lost in the story then a stupid loud beat of noise or awful piece of music completely throws me off. The information and history alone is great. You don’t need the silliness. I try a few more episode but my blood just boils when I here that cricket sound effect or stupid sample.

    Interesting!
Content is absolutely fantastic. Well researched with great delivery. The sound effect thing… meh. I don’t find they add anything to the narrative. Kind of annoying.
  • for petes sake!
    Please!
Please please please take all of the sound effects off! You don’t need it, the subject is interesting alone. I can’t focus on what you are saying.
