    I’m really gigging this
I just discovered this podcast and have been furiously listening to the first 40+ episodes. At first I found myself yelling at my phone that they really know nothing about VH but once I understood their take I really found myself enjoying it. Listening to them hear some of these songs for the “first” time is making me hear those same songs in a different light. As a super fan of Van Halen, I really appreciate what they are doing. If you are looking for experts, go listen to Dave & Dave Unchained. If you just want to break down the songs as a fan of the mighty Van Halen, Corey & Mark are doing just fine.

    And it Rocks
Some of these reviews have a fundamental misunderstanding of what the podcast is. Corey and Mark love VH and love talking about it. They are not a Van Halen fact checking team. Love their takes on this great music and that sometimes one of them loves it and the other doesn’t. Feels like a conversation and not a lecture. The nerds need to get bent. This podcast rocks.

    Cool idea, but…
This is a really great idea for a podcast. The VH catalog is deep and truly deserves a dissection at this level. While I really enjoy the excitement of the hosts, their VH knowledge is pedestrian at best. Many fans will find themselves frustrated with some of the dismissive comments on Roth’s lyrics, and the lack of basic historical knowledge of the band and songs. In some cases, there are entire blocks of songs (and certain albums) that one of the hosts has never heard before, or can’t remember before the discussion. Fun listening, but not to be taken too seriously or as gospel on any level.

    Fun Show to Enjoy VH
These guys are great. They have a wonderful enthusiasm and help me listen to Van Halen’s catalog from a different light. Are they experts in every fact? No, and no one is. Can’t wait for each new episode to drop.

    VH Expert?
So I just discovered this podcast, how can these guys say they are experts when I’ve heard numerous time from them “I’ve never heard this song.” Or “I just heard this for the first im 20 years.”

    Great way to enjoy VH
Longtime VH fan, and I have thoroughly enjoyed Corey and Mark’s analysis of the songs chosen by the wheel each week. Fun listening to the favorites like Panama, Mean Streets, and Best of Both Worlds, and for gaining a greater appreciation of songs like It’s About Time, and even learning of the Japanese only Crossing Over (nice surprise!). My biggest compliment is that I stayed engaged and listened to the podcasts on the not-so-great songs such as How Many Say I - Not a top tier VH song, but the guys have a great sense of humor and I laughed out loud while listening. Keep up the great work - we all need a break from real life these days.

Van Halen - Song by Song
In theory this podcast should be amazing every single episode. Those me hosts are not Van Halen experts and if you know Van Halen the podcast can frustrate you.

    Fun but not accurate
I’m all for anyone waving the MIGHTY VAN HALEN flag! That said when you listen just equate their take on what happened to the YouTube videos of people watching/hearing VH for the first time. If you can’t do that, then this show will drive you nuts. Examples: one host thinking VH1 was all Frankenstat. Easily forgivable. Next: host thinking Gene Simmons encouraged Dave to add more hollers in Runnin’ to complete with Ed-way off. Gene wanted the band without Dave. Didn’t encourage him a bit. Next- host speculating that Dave came to Ed with lyrics before Ed wrote a note of a song.-only Gary ever presented Ed lyrics first. Next hosts not getting the Al/Ed playing dynamic pushing each other constantly. Next, host not up on catalog saying Al finally gets featured/ shows off his skill on Hot for Teacher (6th album) apparently forgetting Everybody wants some, Loss of control, I’m the one, light up the sky, you get the idea. I know it sounds like I’m bashing, but I’m not. Just letting potential new Van Halen fans that this is a great break in, but don’t take what the hosts say as fact.

A great podcast for VH experts and newcomers!
As someone who enjoys VH but does not know their entire catalog this show is a blast! Corey and Mark have a great approach and have already exposed me to tracks I hadn’t heard before! Not only are they fun to listen to but I’m already finding myself listening to “new” VH tracks as a result. This is a must listen!

New Deep Dive For Van Halen Fans!
What a fantastic new deep dive podcast into the music of Van Halen! The two hosts are clearly comfortable and open in their dialogue which always makes for a great show. Their knowledge of the band and music add so much for the listener to enjoy. Keep it going guys!
