Incarnation Read – a Horror Podcast

6

INCARNATION READ ("red") is a horror anthology podcast. Released every 2-3 weeks, it catalogues moments where the reality we have long found comfortably monotonous is distorted to reveal something much more sinister at play, something dark and sentient waiting just under the surface of everyday life. When the veil of the natural world is peeled back, we are introduced to an existence where the stuff of nightmares is not only to be feared; it is to be expected. And the further we travel down this dark path, somewhere among these horrific and paralyzing events, a pattern begins to emerge . . .

Good stories, but too many volume swings/jump scares
I really appreciate this podcast’s writing style. I really enjoyed how they did a great job in the production as well. I really tried to listen through the whole series. But there are too many suddenly super loud noises and screams that act as vocal jump scares. I end up having to turn up the volume to hear whispers and understand what is being said and then suddenly there is yelling at full volume. While this is great if you like jump scares, it leaves my ears ringing and I just can’t handle that in order to enjoy the stories themselves.

    Creepy and Compelling
AMAZINGLY done. This podcast makes me afraid to leave my bed at night, and for reasons that feel totally novel and fresh and exciting.

Most underrated horror podcast since Knifepoint
As a horror podcast junkie, I’ve literally heard all of them. This is without question one of the most original, well-written, well edited and well performed cast out there. I’d put it up there with Knifepoint, hitch hiker horror, WNMTK, acephale and others. Not a huge fan of content warnings in horror outside of “content warning: podcast contains horror so listen to something else if you can’t deal with being scared/upset.” But I get it, you’re trying to grow and at first you need as many ears that will listen. But just don’t ever let it dictate your content! Never.Stop.Writing. You are immeasurably talented. Your podcast will grow and one day it will catch fire. I recommend jumping on Reddit horror subs to promote! Cheers
