I binged every episode of NGOG over the past couple months and love it. I feel like I’ve gotten to know Ali and Akiva, and find them to be so oddly endearing. I just can’t believe nobody has pointed out how much Akiva’s voice and manner-of-speaking resemble Nelson Franklin. Thank you for this gem of a show!

You all need to do better staying on topic or just rename the podcast. You all talk about everything except the New Girl.

The fact that this episode basically took 46 minutes to get into New Girl is why I love this podcast. I seriously hope you’ll actually continue podcasting once New Girl is over, even to just chat about nonsense. Although The Mindy Project is just sitting there waiting on you…or how about Sports Night? That has a cult following!

Just discovered. The banter is terrific. This may be my favorite podcast. I have heard Akiva mention NGOG on RAANAP, but never knew what it was.

I could listen to AA Industries converse all the time- love the banter, and usually forget there’s a tv show to discuss. Thank you for the laughs! Very hard to listen on my commute- laughing too much in public.

I wanted to listen to a pod about new girl but without the celebrities who (understandably) don’t want to say anything critical of their own show. I didn’t know I’d enjoy the random tangents on Jewish life and Jennifer Garner, but here we are. Ali and Akiva are delightfully real and random. I hope Akiva and his family are safe.

Tangents, boring banter, too many mentions of other podcasts

As of two weeks ago, I’d never seen an episode of new girl, and had listened to all of one episode of NGOG (the Rob episode). As of today, not only have I seen the entire series, I’m also up-to-date with the podcast. Although this was not usually at 1x in either capacity and I skipped some of the episodes of the podcast. I am oddly proud of this feat, and probably shouldn’t be.

Rarely about New Girl but ALWAYS a great time!

When I first started listening to NGOG, I was new to podcasts, and just wanted more New Girl in my life. I love the New Girl content, but even more I love the banter between Ali and Akiva. Can’t wait for more episodes!

Honestly if me and any of my friends started a podcast, it would sound like this! We’d joke around for 25-45 minutes and recap 22 minutes of television in around 90+. Much love to the Lasher family as well as Keevy and his clan. Finally posted after years because Ali asked for people to leave reviews, and I looked and couldn’t find mine. Keep up the great work.

Hot take, this podcast is far superior to the actual sitcom New Girl! Ali and Akiva have great conversational chemistry, love how honest and funny they are. Not sure if I’m gonna keep watching the show, but please keep making this podcast, I need it!!

I binged the episodes last fall, and have been listening weekly since then… well, kinda weekly. Or whenever they release episodes. Thanks Ali and Akiva for making me laugh and reuniting me with my love of New Girl.

Any week (or month) that no new episode comes out, I can’t help but think Banana has finally gotten his guns and is engaging Ali, Akiva and J. Garns in warfare from the moon. No one, including the hosts themselves, knows why these two keep putting out this amazing and hilarious podcast about Jewish culture and sometimes Fox sitcom New Girl, but I’m grateful and excited whenever a new episode appears in my feed.

5 Stars but Akiva this most recent episode was soooo not paying attention and that was frustrating.

Me (on Episode 2): I’m that person who got here by searching for a New Girl podcast!! Edit: Me (caught up to most recent podcast): I’m that person who binged the entire NGOG catalog in a month!! I will also remove a star if you ditch the Banana Minute (unless Akiva’s kid exercises his right to friendship privacy).

Great podcast, love the banter, the guests, and hearing a little bit about new girl every episode. Not to be dramatic but I will remove a star from this review if the banana minute goes away.

So much so in fact that I’ve never written a podcast review before but since I’ve been binging this lately and can’t seem to stop listening I decided to write one - Ali and Akiva not only break down one of my favorite shows and bring me lots of laughs but also I’ve never learned so much about Judaism in one setting before so 10/10 entertaining and educational :D

Ali & Akiva are so personable & really make you feel like part of the fam. I’m so happy every week that Ali hasn’t quit the podcast yet. Just waiting for the day they let listeners be guests on the pod, I’m ready when y’all are!

I will admit when I first started listening to this podcast I was getting a little annoyed because there wasn’t a lot of new girl talk but I continue listening to further episodes and found myself enjoying the banter and laughter between Ali and Akiva . All around good time and laughs.

If you are looking for a New Girl Podcast this is NOT it...spend more time talking about things not NG related and just shoot the breeze about day to day things or other podcasts they are do on RHAP. Not what is advertised

Listening to NGOG has quickly become one of my favorite parts of my daily routine. I stumbled across this podcast while I was rewatching New Girl a few months ago & I’m so glad I did. Despite not knowing Ali & Akiva before this, listening to their banter with a few New Girl bits sprinkled in always makes my day. (The Banana & Garner minute segments are just the cherry on top. ) 💗

I have watched New Girl multiple times all the way through and stumbled across this rewatch podcast in my search for one! I thoroughly enjoy listening to Ali and Akiva banter and chat while some New Girl discussion also happens. I had not listened to or known about any of their other podcasts, so I felt slightly lost in the first couple of episodes on who they were or their relation. However, I have come to love their back and forth and am slowly catching on! You guys always make me laugh and I listen everyday in the car on the way to and from work, as well as while I work on school projects from home! Thank you for doing this awesome podcast, please don’t stop☺️ Also, love Pooya! Hope he is on a lot more!!

You’ll find this podcast interesting. I didn’t know Ali or Akiva prior to this. I was just wanting a new podcast and wondered if there was one on new girl?! You’ll soon come to realize that Ali and Akiva are podcasts veterans from others shows (none I’ve listened to) and seem to have good “sibling-like” chemistry. :). I’m only on episode 5 or 6 I’m going to continue! And I’m glad there are many more to come. I’ve watched new girl a million times. Enough that sometimes I’m yelling at my phone that I disagree or have the correct answer! LOL! My fave character is Schmidt! There are sooo many layers to him and he grows so much. Thx.

Seeing a new NGOG pod is out always makes my day and it always goes straight to the top of my podcast queue. I could listen to Ali and Akiva talk about anything, so getting to rewatch and hear about New Girl is just a bonus.

I listened to a 5 hour podcast about Survivor: Caramoan that had Ali and Akiva on it, and I found them both to be super funny, so when I found out they had a podcast together I decided to start watching New Girl so I could listen along. I have binged the entire show in basically a week, and both New Girl and this podcast combined have brought me more joy than any media I have consumed during the pandemic.

I legit can’t stop binging this pod. Like, it’s bad how many hours I’ve listened to in the past week. It helps that there are some nuggets of New Girl thrown in.

I have binged The New Girl more times than I care to admit, and I feel so much better knowing I’m not alone. Listening to the banter between Ali and Keev cracks me up and I look forward to each new episode. Thanks for reminding me that I’m not the only weirdo out there!

This is a great accompanyment to my rewatch of New Girl. My friend groups favorite drinking game is True American and it is so nice to listen to other people (mianly Ali because she has watched the entire show already) talk about the show who love it as well.

It seems they need to talk more about the episode at hand. Sometimes they can keep focused, but they get caught up on really long tangents that aren't related to the show. Usually I'll just have this on in the background when I cook or clean and when they get to talking about New Girl I'll listen in. What's strange though, is they keep mispronouncing Zooey Deschanel's name. Even in the opening song. I don't know if that was ever addressed at some point and I missed it.

Keev is cool. Ali is Elaine. I am converting but not really. Or am I? I watched this show a long time ago but I’m more interested in just listening to these two banter. Missy isn’t real, she’s a figment of Ali’s imagination. Don’t tell Missy I said that. This show is my Seinfeld. I mean, it’s not but I wanted to say something profound. Look why are you still reading? It’s a podcast, people talk. What more do you want? It’s just words. Like you’re doing anything better with your life. RIP Kobe

I recently discovered and binged this entire Pod up to date in a matter of two weeks. It’s low key one of the best Jewish conversion podcast out there with just enough pop culture and new girl. I would love nothing more than to give this review 5 stars, as I love Ali and Akiva’s chemistry and banter, however something in a recent pod prevents me from doing so. I simply cannot in good conscience give that fifth star until Akiva finishes Harry Potter. What kind of psychopath stops at the beginning of the last book? It seriously had me thinking to myself at 1am why you wouldn’t finish. So my only attempt to have you finish is to tempt you to do so with the promise of the fifth star.

I came for the new girl content but stayed for the Jewish Culture Education I have received. Very funny podcast. Excellent hosts that occasionally are made even better with guest hosts. Thank you for what you do that takes us away from the horror of reality for a bit

Hey y’all! I found you by searching for New Girl rewatch podcasts and I’m so happy. I love that the pod is so unstructured and unfolding as you go. I do listen to some more “polished” pods but I find myself laughing more and enjoying it more with your spontaneity. My pet peeve is when you can tell casters are reading their script and it’s so refreshing to hear you all. I’m only halfway through season one so I hope this hasn’t changed by the time I catch up to your current episodes!

It’s funny, I wish there weren’t so many anti conservative jokes but still I winner. I enjoy the hosts together and the RHAP adjacent guests.

Ali’s ability to not spoil a single detail for Akiva is revolutionary
