Greetings from across the pond as you Brits (I hope that’s not a derisive term) like to say. I am an avid listener and this show is a great show that I’ve recommended to friends because it entertains AND it informs! Plus it’s like sitting down with some old friends (or mates if you prefer) while I sit out back, pack the old briarwood pipe, have a sip of some single malt and look forward to the fights as it’s the healthiest of escapes from life’s daily stressors. Too much negativity and moaning for me!

If you are a boxing fan then this is the premier league boxing podcast for you. Both Alex and Matt are fearless when talking about the noble art. Their love for the sports shines through like a quasar! Their is no hyperbole, they give you the news and facts in a highly entertaining way. They don’t make the show about them, they are lazor focused on the sport itself. The show compliments the Boxing News magazine, which is the leading boxing publication out there. The interview with Timothy Bradley this week was incredible. Thanks lads.

To hear Matt Christie criticize the “True Geordie” for asking Tyson Fury a serious of tough questions about his mismatch with Chisora and accuse the interviewer of “belaboring the point” when all Christie and Steedman do every week is spend huge swaths of each podcast belaboring subjects like doping and bad judging in tiresome fashion. Wasn’t Christie the same guy who spent weeks prior to Chisora’s fight with Pulev belaboring the point that Chisora should quit fighting? And now he has a problem with another interviewer who has the courage to tell Fury - the heavyweight champion of the world - to his face that fighting Chisora is a mismatch that could have dangerous consequences? This podcast is increasingly pretentious and full of inflated self-importance.

The perfect balance between Matt’s insightful comments and humour, while Alex sets the table perfectly! Impartial analysis delivered with aplomb! I have never detected any fighter, trainer or promoter bias … the guys simply say it how they see it!

I found you guys about 6 months ago and your pod is now my favorite. I save it for my long (and ultra hard) cardio workout on Saturdays. Time flies when I am listening. I love your look back on classic fights as well. I keep adding to the list of old fights to watch when I retire

Love the podcast! I can’t wait till a new episode comes out each week! I will say that I am a bit frustrated that I can’t seem to locate the opening musical intro they use anywhere. I love the groove the track lays down and just as I’m getting into it they start talking and the music fades. Any chance you can publish where the music comes from? Otherwise great show with really knowledgeable hosts. Love it.

This is a great podcast! Alex Steedman and Matt Christie consistently deliver high quality reporting and analysis on the complex world of boxing in an easily digestible and entertaining format. A fantastic compliment to the already exhaustive coverage of the sport from Boxing News.

A great mix of the latest boxing news and analysis of recent and upcoming fights. Really enjoy their “this week in history” segments as well as their book recommendations. You get to hear about classic fights and legendary fighters but also stay up to date on what’s going on today. Alex and Matt are great hosts, whose styles really complement each other.
