This podcast is like catnip and I am the cat who can’t get enough catnip aka the podcast! The hosts are awesome and deserve all the five stars I am giving them in this review !!!

I've been listening to these guys for years and week after week it's my favorite podcast. They are the most well rounded movie podcast you can listen to discussing everything from Sinners to foreign films. Nothing but great vibes and positivity when taking about films, although they do bicker like brothers do (which are the best parts). I can't recommend this podcast enough

Anthony and James have been my go to film and TV podcast for a long time now. The effort they put into each episode is unparalleled. I rely on their weekly movie news episodes to keep me updated on every important update in the film industry. What I love the most about Anthony and James is their authenticity. They do not form their opinions based on general consensus online. I have followed other film and TV content creators who changed their opinions on films because of internet trends. They are not afraid to admit they love a film just because it is being criticized online. This is refreshing in a world filled with film and TV content creators who just follow the crowd and engage in groupthink. Beyond this authenticity, Anthony and James have incredible banter and humor throughout each episode. It truly feels like you are hanging out with two friends who love movies just as much as you.

I’ve been listening too James and Anthony for close to half a decade now. They’re enthusiastic about movies and are true fans of cinema. Whether they’re celebrating blockbusters, diving deep into classics we all watched growing up, exposing their audience to foreign films, keeping us updated on the most interesting news in the industry, or making fun of each other like only brothers can, the Raiders Boys do it all with enthusiasm and without pretentiousness. Every episode is like hanging out with your buddies in the break room nerding out about what we watched the night before. Keep up the good work guys!

Listened to the show since Covid and continue to due to their 90 minute episode on Sinners. These guys gave the movie its recognition and did a movie review in lieu of its box office numbers and success, and thought Nosferatu also deserved an entire episode review. Also, their excitement for the movie, Formula 1 (starring Brad Pitt and the up and coming Damson Idris). If you’re going to be a film/ TV podcast, you should become well rounded and familiar with the industry like these guys. They deserve their flowers.

These guys are fun, wholesome, and always cover interesting topics. I genuinely enjoy listening to this podcast—and yes, shouting ‘unsubscribed!’ along with them!

If you love movies and don’t know about this podcast, then you have to tune in IMMEDIATELY to the Deveney Brothers’ pod, aka the Movie Daddies. They always seem to make me smile, laugh and be in a blissful mood from their silly banter, hilarious movie quips, factual arguments, mispronunciations, and skibidi toilet references (sick reference bro). I always love hearing what they have to say about certain pieces of media, learning about what is going on around the world of film, and hearing their recent watches. I have found many of my favorite flics from their recommendations and their insight is something that I always find interesting. I am so proud of how far they have come as a podcast and as artists and I am so excited for what the future will hold for them. I hope that I will never have to UNSUBSCRIBE.

found you guys from your dead poets society episode and then listened to study for my history of film class and haven’t looked back since. you guys have found the perfect balance of analysis and criticism while also still just being EXCITED ABOUT MOVIES! still can’t tell you guys apart but 5 stars, you guys are the background soundtrack to my life at the moment!

Listened to this show since Covid but Unfollowed the pod due to their lack of coverage for the movie Sinners. These two guys barely gave the movie its recognition and never did a movie review despite its box offices numbers and success, but thought Nasferatu deserved such an entire movie review episode. Also their excitement for the movie Formula 1 with starring Brad Pitt but they failed to mention anything about the costar Damson Idris who deserves to be recognized for his early career success. If you’re going to have a film/movie podcast become more well rounded and familiarize yourself with all actors and actresses in the industry including the black ones you show lack of interest in. They deserve their flowers.

If you are a movie fan, this might just be your new favorite podcast. James and Anthony’s love for film is infectious, and not only that, they know their stuff, having even directed and worked on several films themselves. I’ve learned so much from them about film and filmmaking. They also taught me the correct pronunciation for Denis Villeneuve’s last name, which NOBODY, even at the Oscars, seems to get right!!! They have an appreciation for all different kinds of movies, not just blockbusters or the typical “film bro” movies. They are also some of the most dedicated podcasters out there, releasing at least four shows per week—and not only episodes breaking down movies but also a movie news episode and an episode where they recap which films they watched that week. Their brotherly banter always makes me laugh, as well as all their film references, such as “pUt thE mOnEy iN thE bAg, pUt yOuR hAnDs iN tHe aiR.” (I’m putting that in here just so I can hear them say it again on the show lol.) Do yourself a favor and give this podcast a listen. P.S. I might have to UNSUBSCRIBE if they don’t do episodes on the dollars trilogy! P.P.S. Looking forward to James getting that tattoo once they get to 3000 ratings 👀

I love movies, and it is wonderful listening to a podcast where I laugh, learn, and am fully entertained by being transported into the Raiders Lost Podcast cinematic world. Anthony and James don't take themselves too seriously. They make film discussion fun, unpretentious, and interesting. I love when they get on silly movie quoting tangents, pick on each other, and spread joy with their infectious laughter eruptions. I always look forward to unwinding the day with this fantastic podcast and their engaging movie topics. They have crafted an amazing show.

I’ve been listening since 2020 and every episode feels like I’m breaking down movies with friends. I love the interaction online and don’t feel so creepy when I send pictures of my movie themed tattoos (thank you for reposting my Thing tattoo back in 2023!!) I actually introduced my boyfriend to the podcast and now we are constantly saying “I wonder if the twins will do an episode on this”. I’m constantly catching myself laughing or trying to guess the movie quiz (dates are not my strong suit). Anyway, thank you for being my go to movie podcast. I hope I never have to UNSUBSCRIBE!

First I accidentally deleted my review so I’m posting it again. Didn’t mean to unreview my unsubscribe, then autocorrect messed me up and put “a minor” instead of “himself”. But third times a charm. Been listening since 2020. Remember finding this podcast on accident while working an overnight shift, first episode I listened to was when you guys talked about everything wrong with the Star Wars sequel trilogy. When I first listened I thought a film boy was having an mental episode, and was talking to HIMSELF, and I still think that. But overall these guys know their stuff, and the offer great insight which makes you want to go back and rewatch movies. They make you laugh, and it’s very interactive and you feel apart of the conversation. But sadly on the “Wolf of Wallstreet” episode they spoiled that sex is great, so sadly I’m going to have to unsubscribe.

Over the last week or so, this has become my go to show. The latest episode as of today, Overrated or Underrated, was hilarious. The long list was very entertaining to see where my own biases fell alongside or against these two’s. Keep up the great work. Oh yeah, Princess Bride is overrated.

I was listening to y’all’s Memento review and breakdown (an oldie i know y’all had them poding skills even back then) and y’all mentioned you had reviewed every Christopher Nolan movie, but I can’t seem to find y’all’s episode on Dunkirk and since I am a Nolan boi, where is that episode? 2. I keep hearing on the latest episodes about some Tree of Life review and can’t seem find that either. Minecraft wasn't the hero we asked for, but it's the hero the box office deserved. Not only did it bring in more on its opening day than (the not actually, but incorrectly reported as... biggest opener of 2025) Snow White, but it also brought in four million more on its opening weekend than the top two previously biggest opening weekends of 2025 combined. For commuting this egregious error, I'm afraid I have no choice but to unsubscribe, but only for as long as it took RotLP to forget that Brave New World existed; but, since audiences also seem to have forgotten the MCU exists post-Endgame, I'll let it slide this time, and resubscribe.

This podcast has sparked my love for movies again. First saw yall on Instagram and then listened to your review about Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu. I personally can’t do horror movies but was intrigued by everything I kept seeing and hearing about the film so I went to yall to spoil it for me. And yall did the opposite, as you made me only eager to watch it after sharing the wealth of knowledge and insight into the film like you guys do for all the movies you talk about in each episode. Love the reviews, love the lists, love the movie news, and loved the AOT episode. You guys rock and keep the great content coming!

I’ve been listening since I was 16 back in 2020, I am now about to turn 21 and these guys have only been going up and improving since and are firing on all cylinders all the time. Everyday I listen to them while I work and they make long days in construction somewhat tolerable. Highly recommend their episode on Superbad, I’ve listened to it about 6 times and still laugh out loud each time. They are Absolutely hilarious and have great rapport with each other and are very very knowledgeable about film without sounding pretentious. Although I still can’t distinguish their voices from one another they are the only film podcast that I’ll listen to, I’ve even gotten my dad (who got me interested in movies) to start listening to the show too. Let me start by expressing my appreciation and admiration for these two guys! I stumbled upon this podcast a few years back when I falling more in love with movies, I’d say late 2022, and have loved listening to each episode and interacting with the fellas on social media, they’ve always been very genuine and kind which is sometimes rare to find online. They love movies and their passion shows on every episode, sharing in-depth details while always having a good time. I’m always rooting for them and will continue to be a supporter for as long as I’m a #filmboi! PS I would love to see some more directorial spotlights soon, especially on a legend like John Carpenter 👀

I've been hooked on these guys since 2020, and honestly, I can't get enough. James and Anthony bring such a refreshing perspective to every film, even the ones most podcasts would tear apart. Unlike others who act like anything less than Blade Runner 2049 or Dune Part 2 is a crime against cinema, these two celebrate every movie for what it is. Their episode on The Social Network literally made me hit pause on everything and dive into that masterpiece for the first time. Had to take De Marios advice and download Apple Podcasts to leave a review! If you're not listening to these guys, you're seriously missing out—honestly, I stopped listening to music so much at work to catch their episodes!

Every week i look forward to listening to an episode as soon as i go in to work. With the recent introduction of Cinephile i find myself saying names of films for the actress/ actors. My fiance deals with me being excited for a new episode and will deal with me going through the back log of episodes I haven’t heard on our upcoming trip on the 7th of march. I just love the effort you guys put into each episode , love you guys!

Recommended - Recommended - Recommended This is by far the best podcast I’ve ever listened to. Incredible content, everything from movie news, to reviews on new releases, and of course deep dives on any and every movie you can think of. Growing up I loved movies and going to the theater. However as I’ve gotten older and streaming services have grown with me I’ve found myself rewatching the same movies and tv shows over and over. Since I started listening to this podcast a few months back I’ve had my love of movies and particularly theater experiences reignited. My warning to you is to prepare for the same. Since discovering Raiders of the Lost Podcast I’ve spent over $350 on movie tickets alone (not including popcorn and drink). So where should I send the bill? “I want my two dollars!” From the 1985 classic, Better Off Dead. I don’t think I’ve heard them mention this movie though, probably since it stars John Cusack. (If you know you know) I will never UNSUBSCRIBE!!! Keep it up!

Anthony and James are the best! Their knowledge of movies is incredible. They always do their homework before an episode. I look forward to listening to the movie news every Sunday to find out what movies are coming next and how movies did at the box office. These guys always make me smile and make my day better. After every movie I watch I will always check to see if they did an episode on the movie so I can gain more insight in to the production, casting, plot etc. if you love movies definitely add this podcast your favorites. This podcast is my go to for anything! I’ve completely neglected all my other podcasts for it and really don’t listen to as much music anymore because I can’t get enough! I’ve only recently started listening to the pod in the last month or two but it has been so amazing. Anytime I finish up the new episodes of the week I scroll through to find other episodes! Honestly I’m very grateful for the finding this podcast. I’ve been a film nerd for years thanks to my grandparents! My grandpa would show me films every time I would visit him or stay for the weekend. He unfortunately passed away in 2009 so it’s been a long time without him. One monumental TRILOGY he showed me was Indiana Jones! So it was amazing getting to remember those moments I shared with him and what started my passion for all things film when you guys reviewed the Indy movies! I could go on and on about this for hours, but I’ll leave it at this! Thank you both for continuing to create amazing content that I truly can admire and appreciate. These guys are literally the kings of movie reviews! I have been listening to the show for a couple of months now and I get so excited every time a new episode drops. I will literally stop what I’m listening to and check out the new episode. This podcast has taken away all anxiety of trying to find all movie news myself. That’s my main reason for following but what I didn’t know is how entertaining it would end up being. They do all the hard work for you and now I have more time to stay off the internet! Also, a side effect of the show as of recently is that I am developing a thick Boston accent. Especially when I say the word SPOTLIGHT!
