Locked on < HALF of the B10

I tuned in to see if there was anything valuable on this podcast. Turns out it’s nothing but a handful of local podcast guys who rarely speak about the rest of the Big Ten if they’re not on the current podcast. Waste of time, won’t be back

Hit or Miss with a OSU bias, but Mainly a Miss

I’ve bounced back an forth from this podcast for over a year plus. I often come across football season with the hosts just going at each other which isn’t fun to listen to. Plus it seems like theirs a strong bias against Michigan by most of the people on the show and a strong bias towards Ohio State. This podcast is very hit or miss and mostly is a miss for me. I know the B10 is huge but it would be nice to listen to and hear about all the schools instead of just a few “top” brands. I guess my option is to find each schools own locked on podcast to hear from them but that just is too much work for me. Hopefully things change in the future but I’m not positive they will.

Had to stop downloading

Great show but I can’t stand it when podcasts send me a “you might also like” episode. This happened several times in one week. It clogs up my feed and wastes my data. I deleted it from my playlist. Good bye.

Great Podcast

I’m a Southern Cal fan so it’s about time for me to start getting smart and caught up with the BIG10 and I can also say the same thing about this podcast. Really enjoyed the podcast but it’s January 15 and I was expecting a lot more information on the four new football teams entering the conference. Although I do like the host but it seems like he knows very little about Southern Cal, UCLA, Washington or Oregon. These new teams are just as much a part of BIG10, granted without the history, of any of their current schools. I will continue to follow the podcast and I know that the host will get up to speed and know the ins and outs of the former pack 12 teams.

This podcast is really only interested in Ohio and Michigan. The remaining teams are only mentioned to fill time. The reporting is fine if you are interested in only those two schools. Pass.

Nate’s hard to listen to, essentially locked on buckeyes with quick blurbs about teams that play them each week. I would skip.

Lazy East Bias

I’m really impressed with the Locked On network overall, but the B1G coverage should be better. The host is pretty decent, but why always the spaz from MSU and the dork from Indiana?! Keep hearing around, lots of better talent out there!

Ohio homers

Didn’t even say the name “Blake corum” in the RB preview despite him being pro football focus’ #3 rated RB (they use pro football focus as their source). When discussing tight ends said “an interesting pick” at best tight end in big 10 with Erick All. They love having their Ohio state guy on, who made a fool of himself predicting Ohio to beat UM in 2021. He was absent for months afterwards and never said he was wrong about his predictions. Nate didn’t remember the name “Cade McNamara” in the preview of the UM vs Ohio game in 2021. I love the big 10 and all it’s rivalries BUT unfortunately this is less of a Big 10 podcast and more of an Ohio / popular big 10 player podcast.

I never write reviews on these shows, but I agree with RyeRye, I unfollowed due to the amount of time spent talking about Ohio state. This show reminds me of finebaum’s love affair with Alabama . I’m a big ten fan and will find another show.

Brutal

The lead in on Monday’s episode was so awkward I can’t believe they didn’t just start over. Then they completely miss UM being in the top 10. Then they think the PSU/Iowa game is at PSU when it’s actually at Iowa.

Nate Dickinson is very hard to listen to. I don’t understand how he got this job. It’s like he tries really hard to have good diction but SOUNDS like he is trying to hard. His takes are also very lazy.

Should be called Locked On Ohio State with a smidge of BIG TEN EAST coverage

You guys are great and entertaining and all but from the 15 episodes I’ve listened to it’s always “we don’t want to spend too much time on “<OSU; or MU, MSU, or some other east team>” then spend half the pod cast talking about them. It really seems like you barely brush the west. When Iowa trounced Indiana y’all named half a dozen players on the Indiana squad then didn’t mention any Iowa players, even though they had a national player of the week. Great information on OSU and the East, though I guess.

Good content

I like the content and the run down of the conference. Lately there have been weird audio issues. Pod ends abruptly and sometimes the audio goes in and out on guests. That’s more recent. Still 5* due to this being a new issue. Content is great. Keep it up.

I love the content. Covers the Big Ten well but I guess that host like Ware’s who wants to believe the Buckeyes are not blue bloods are looking the at the league through Hawkeyes versus Scarlet colored glasses.

Locked on Big Ten is my go to podcast for all things big ten. Not only is it better than every other big ten podcast out there, it’s my favorite podcast PERIOD. The hosts of the podcast bring comprehensive knowledge and insights that I’d feel lost without. Looking forward to continuing to tune in

So Lucy, how many touchdowns did IU lose by? I’ll give you a pass on Iowa, but delivering analysis of "they are traditional powers so they’ll win big!!" is so lazy. I can watch college game day for that. Please get better.

Unimpressed by host

I’m a long time Locked podcast listener, been with David since day one with the Jazz, but I can’t engage with these hosts. As an OSU fan I tune in to hear how the rest of the big 10 is doing and I leave disappointed each time.

Not locked on B1G

The podcast heavily focuses on Ohio St and Michigan, not the B1G as a whole. Oftentimes the hosts will get easy things factually incorrect about the other 12 schools they rarely talk about. I understand the focus on Ohio St, being the league’s flagship program, but why the focus on Michigan? Wisconsin, Michigan St, or even Penn St is a stronger choice for a second place team based on performance. But the pod should not be about OSU and Wisconsin, or OSU and Michigan, or OSU and Michigan St anyway. It should be about all 14 teams. Unfortunately it falls short in this

They had a football spotlight on ILLINOIS. The football genius Chris Landry said ILLINOIS needs a great start by Bobby Roundtree. It would have taken 30 seconds to google ILLINOIS football and see that Bobby had a swimming accident and is recovering from a spinal injury.
