    Canadian Histori-hilarity
Hot take- There are few things better than disasters explained in a Canadian accent.

    Love these guys
Omg !! They’re back !!!!!! I just saw someone post something about Woodstock 99 and looked up this podcast to relisten and saw there are NEW EPISODES !! So excited! Welcome back boys ! I’ve missed you Just found this pod on a fluke looking for something else and decided to give it a go. They’re fabulous. Really easy to listen to , good research , just enough chatter and humor to be fun but not annoying.

    Good podcast
So these guys are dorks, but not in a bad way, they’re pretty funny. Topics are mostly interesting. (I’m not much of a music critic so I could do without that aspect of the show, but it’s small enough that it doesn’t interfere with the main theme too bad.) My only other complaint is the amount of times they say “fair enough”. They say it a lot. Idk, maybe it’s a Canadian thing. Overall, the show is definitely worth listening to.

    Yaaaaaay!
Happy you’re back! Nobody does disaster like you guys!

Fantastic podcast, minus just a few peeves
I’ll start by saying that I discovered this podcast about 15 hours ago and have already binged about 7 episodes. I love it so far! The first part of their two part episode about Chernobyl was great. They really dug deep into the history of radiation and nuclear weapons, BUT once they got to talking about Marie Curie, they kept mispronouncing her name as “Mary”. It’s Marie, guys! Other than that, fantastic. I wish I had discovered it sooner. If I had friends or enemies, I’d recommend it to them. In the meantime, my cat seems to really like it too, although Norm’s voice gives him a case of “airplane ears” from time to time. ***EDIT 7/29/2023 I knocked off one star because these shmucks told me in September 2022 that “new episodes are coming!” Well, it’s been almost a year since they’d claimed that and they still haven’t updated since 2021. So while they’re friendly, don’t believe them for a second if they tell you that they’re working on more episodes, their pants are on fire.

    These idiots
These idiots said the Band was terrible. You have a right to your opinion but you have to also take the contempt you deserve for such a garbage take. They appear to be Canadian liberals, too, which is just icky. Morons!

    I’m late to the party….
Just discovered you guys! Very funny, informative, but where did you guys go??

    Great subjects and hosts
Finally, a pod where BOTH hosts give humorous, insightful commentary to the narrative. Enjoy the sidebars discussing subjects that are germane to the original topic and allow us to learn more. Keep it up.

    What?
Isn’t there a Thames River in Canada too? How could this guy mispronounce Thames? Sheesh.
  • BCSDCA
    Ok. Yeah. Mmmhmm.
-1 star for having to listen to one of the hosts incessantly confirm every sentence from the other with yeah’s, ok’s, and mmmhmm’s.

    Disasters, history, science, comedy
One of the best and most consistent podcasts.

    Political views
I really enjoyed the first episode I listened to, up until your public service message, aka socialist movement. Too bad. One star for mixing entertainment with politics. No Stars for You. Delete

    Lighthearted takes on dark stories
I just found this podcast yesterday while browsing the r/podcasts subreddit and it was recommended for fans of history. I’m really glad I did, because these guys are great! They have great chemistry. One host does the research and tells the stories while the other provides commentary. If you like the medical history podcast Sawbones, it’s like that. The stuff they talk about is fascinating and can be dark at times, but the hosts are so funny that it makes it easier to binge than other “dark” podcasts. Highly recommend.

A great inquisitive look into disasters.
I’ve been listening since the summer of 2019 when I needed a podcast to listen to on a road trip. Completely found this gem by accident and have been listening since. Even with my normal Monday through Friday commute being cut due to COVID, I still find time to listen every week. Highly recommend for anyone remotely interested in disasters or comedy!

    Many chuckles
You guys are really hilarious! Love listening and keep up the good work! More Disasters!!!!

    History with a twist
I love this show because I actually learn a lot from two cool guys that know how to laugh at the absurdity of it all. Woodstock 99... it had to be laughed at. So ridiculous! Thanks guys. Keep them coming. I’m still trying to learn how to convert metric... it isn’t easy
  • ain't no time for this
    Loved it
It is so much fun to listen to them

This podcast is NOT a Disaster!
What a great and unique idea for a podcast. The host are both witty and informative. I loved the St. Helena episode and I can't wait to hear more and more. LOVE THIS!
