DA DUDE IZ ME!TestingHere’s the thing you missed in your April discussion about state testing: the teachers and children who endure it year after year are humans. Sure, you need the data, but the testing format and rules are awful because the atmosphere is foreign and miserable. Testing weeks are demoralizing for all involved because there is no reward for doing well, and everyone is so worried about breaking a rule. Your researchers better go back to the drawing board to make testing happen in short spurts with quick results under normal conditions. This is expected of teachers all year, so you need to make it fun. Schools should not need to shut down for testing. Signed- 15 year teacher of middle school ELA who now does spreadsheets in an office because I simply had ENOUGH.

DJCurrySpiceAmong the best education podcastsThe coverage is grand in breadth and depth with a keen eye for current trends and historical references. It’s a quality podcast with matter-of-fact coverage and helps you evolve your thinking on the myriad of issues at play as we all (in our own ways) work to improve educational and life outcomes for all of the students, families, and educators the education system serves.

CharliejrzWell-informed and fun policy and politicsEven if you don’t agree with many of Education Gadfly’s positions - I’m at best mixed on that score - this is a reliably well-informed, fun, and witty discussion of the most pressing policy and political issues in education. Should be on your subscription short list.

The Funion KnightNYC Ed FanPlease keep the show on the air! I enjoy it every week. Pardon the Gadfly and Amber's Research minute should be retitled "Pardon how amazing this segment is" and "Amber rocks David's world" (I'm David). All joking aside, I appreciate the mixture of insights and humor - keep the good times rolling!

TX parentVery empowering!I started listening to this podcast about a year ago and it has been extremely helpful for coming up to speed on US education policy and current events. Very useful for parents that want to advocate for public education in their state.

Gingerbread Girl 5BalancedI have found this podcast to be lively, informative, and balanced. The world of education produces more than enough wild and wacky "reforms" to merit reporting, and concern where warranted.
