This is the best VGM podcast out there. No talk just music. Different topic each episode which is great. I don’t look for video game music podcasts to hear people talk about the music, I just want to listen to the video game music. I wish there were more podcasts like this one.

The most “easy-listening” or radio-like VGM podcast I’ve heard. Mike’s notes are brief and thoughtful. He clearly knows how to write about music. (as well he should after 6 years of VG Island!) If you’re reading this review, check out VG Island pod for more music. I only wish the episodes were longer by about 2 tracks!

Packs a lot of content into shorter episodes and recording quality is superb. Host is very knowledgeable and offers a lot of facts and overview of the tracks and the game. Good amount of music with some fast dialogue to set context. Highly recommended if you’re a fan of VGM.
