Generally speaking I enjoy the show. But the constant defense of Janet is a big turn off

The way she speaks about not feeling safe and potentially being killed! Girl, try being black or brown!!!! We can’t even speak up against the current genocide for fear of losing our jobs or being deported. Also, you’re too old to be a giggled Paige would never be your friend and stop posting selfies!! Nobody needs to see that

You are so upset about Jax being employed by bravo and going to bravo con, yet you continue to watch the show he is on and bought tickets to bravo con? You are supporting Jax. You realize that right? Look up codependency. Brittany needs help for hers too.

I listen to the show, I like Mandy, but many times she makes statements as truth, not opinion. Some of her facts are off. She supports creepy men like Jesse on Summer House and many problematic men on Southern Charm. There is a sense that I am being lectured to at times. You love Stassie? Why? She is also very problematic. But hey, that’s just my opinion. Oh, stop saying “right” all the time. But you’re great in many other ways.

There are other intelligent people who watch Bravo, I assure you. The comments on every episode about education level are very insulting.

Can’t believe you defend the mean girls

I’ll lead by saying even though I’ve strongly disagreed with Mandy on positions, I still listen weekly because her opinions are genuine and not chasing the algorithm or trying to live a ‘content creator’ life like others. But I do struggle with the fact there are instances where she gives Bravo men more slack than Bravo women. I think she even mentioned catching herself saying that wrt the Southern Charm men. One such way I divert from her takes is on Carl in Summer House. I’m not even sure Carl Radke would be as kind to himself as Mandy is to him (eg the revisionist framing of Carl blowing off Captain Lee recently). Or how she keeps bringing up Kyle and Morgan’s age gap (it needs to be said many gay relationships have these in ways that are quite nuanced, see films Desert Hearts, Beginners, Carol- I think it’s quite unkind to rob a person of their self-discovery, kids or no kids) but defended Andy Cohen dating much younger men. She’s less harsh on Wendy which I hope indicates she has changed her tune on her because those were often hard listens. I note hard listens because Mandy is very intelligent and I know off-pod she does great, legitimate work so when I disagree with her, it’s very frustrating. But I also think that speaks to the strength of her podcast.

It disgusting to hear Mandy routinely defend every bad man in Bravo, including Sandoval, Carl Radke, Shep Rose, West and now Jessie Solomon. It’s never their fault and when Melissa makes a good counterpoint, Mandy then blames societal expectations for their HORRIBLE treatment of women.

Mandy’s insight is impeccable and she elevates this genre to “intellectual” property. Love the pod.

I really look forward to listening to Mandy’s podcast. She provides a great balance of reviewing Bravo show episodes while doing a deeper dive into the psyche of the shows cast’s members. She brings on interesting guests who also try to figure out what in the world these people are thinking. I also appreciate that her podcast goes live on Sunday. I listen while doing laundry. Great show!

I love the intelligent regular people on here! I dislike the Big Personalities wanna be famous vibes on most bravo pods. This is EXACTLY how I wanna hear Bravo discussed. Thank you!

I’ve hesitated writing this since last year when you recapped SLC. You’re generally so well spoken and I enjoy listening to your show, but please give respect to different lifestyles, religions, and cultures. You have asked the same of us who are not Jewish. You do not understand Mormonism and that’s fine, but commenting on the housewives of salt lake is where the hypocrisy creeps up. Judging Bronwyn’s marriage and other relationships with age gaps was very offensive. Unless you are in that marriage, religion, culture or whatever the case may be, please speak on it respectfully. I realize housewives put their lives out there to be judged but encompassing “all” relationships the same way or religions the same way is tough to listen to.

Should have kept your politics out, Mandy.

You are wonderful, smart, and bring on very interesting guests who are both plugged into the real and reality worlds. I also love when you talk about your family and heritage- it feels so familiar. Shanah tova! Keep up the great work. Very glad to have found you.

I look forward to my Sunday mornings because I can listen to a new ‘Is This Real Life’. I can relate to Mandy’s perspective on so many levels from being from a family who immigrated to America from Ukraine, to being Jewish, & that we both advocate to improve people’s lives in our jobs. I like that Mandy relates our favorite shows to her own life & her listener’s lives & what is happening in the real world. Her guests are also fantastic bringing their unique intelligent perspectives to these shows.

I used to enjoy this podcast but I find her lecturing really annoying. I like when she sticks to the episodes but the constant “we shouldn’t do this or that…” is patronizing. I’m an adult and I know right from wrong. I don’t need to be lectured every Sunday.

I used to love listening as it’s one of the only bravo podcasts that’s released on Sundays , but lately it’s getting harder and harder to get through . I can’t stand when she goes on about the medical community . She might work within the system but not at the clinical level . Because of this she comes across very pro physician and spews out very biased opinions .

Ok, so it’s not the first thing you think of when listening to a podcast but I find Mandy’s voice and delivery so relaxing! So many pods are filled with people hyping up their voices and talking over each other. Mandy’s interview style is so relaxed and informative. Mandy seems smart and relatable and it’s always a fun listen!
