It is so hard to pay attention! The narrator is monotone and sounds to be reading… without any punctuation. it all just runs together. Ugh so much potential!! Content is very interesting But…😴

I’m sorry I have to agree with the others reviews- the narrator is amateurish and unlistenable. The content would be interesting except the narrator seems to find an excuse every time that( he/she/who knows ) seems to think exonerates the offender. No matter how depraved and brutal the offense- it’s always someone else’s fault. Usually white people, specifically straight white males.

Can’t listen. The robot is unbearable. Get a real host.

I can’t understand why that voice was chosen. I can’t listen to a robot talking. Very boring and has no emotion. Change the voice and people may listen.

This podcast is about as dull as it comes and it seems like she is making excuses for the juvenile offenders.

I like the show. The content is good, but I can't listen anymore. I started an episode and the first thing that played was an ad for Greg Abbott. The ad said things that were untrue about the competing candidate. Unfortunately, I can no longer support the show or share it.

I do not comprehend complaints about the host's voice!?! She is so well spoken & gives the subject the dignity it deserves. Ok: I do hate the theme music—And in the early episodes there was way too much, and too loud, repetitive music that would just about drive you insane backing the host voice—*** but like every podcast, the kinks got worked out over time. she should probably re-edit the first 10 episodes, and take all that crazy music out . Still— Overall this is a fantastic podcast. I can’t understand why it’s not ranked up there with the best of them, and I hope people start thinking twice before they keep leaving negative reviews, it’s absurd. The show is really good and so is the host.

Why would you sit and listen to something when you put a description of everything that happens in the story or go ahead and tell everything that happens in the first few seconds it ruins the suspense the mystery literally could read all these faster than I could listen

Like the show, however, the intro music is a bit too long. I find myself skipping ahead and missing the beginning half of the podcast.

NOPE!! Your voice is like listening to an over medicated psychiatric patient! Very sad, actually, because the content is well written! PLEASE please find someone else to narrate!

Good Lord, this show is boring. I almost fell asleep on the highway listening to this. The host is awful to listen to.

I feel like I’m listening to a robot spew out very basic facts… very hard to hold any interest or to even care when this monotone and boring.

I’m so happy I found this podcast! My cousin and I love true crime! We always listen to this at night before we go to sleep. It’s awesome! Thanks for great content! Keep it up! =D

Love the show but in listening to this weeks episode when you referenced the Brianna Taylor case in regards to no knock warrants you said she was in bed. This has been proven false. Listen to the episode on the podcast 10-41 or fully released report. She was in the hallway not in bed asleep.

Could not get over the voice, sorry. It’s very monotone and unappealing, could not hold my attention.

I have listened to this podcast for quite a while and probably should have left a review much sooner…. This is one of my favorites in the true crime genre and I’m so thankful someone finally thought to give a warning for the description of animal abuse. I hear trigger warnings for every other trauma related element - but never a heads up that I am about to be sent into an emotional tailspin for the rest of the day when I cannot avoid hearing the atrocities of animal abuse. Overall, a very interesting podcast; well executed through a factual/evidence based narrative. The speaker hit her stride around the second season and delivers the content with experience and ease.

Love this podcast! One of the best! ♥️🙌🏽♥️ Have to mention that I am not a fan of the very few episodes that have interviews of “guests” that giggle & joke about such heinous & tragic crimes…

Straight and too the facts, I feel that she does her research well and presents it in a way that catches my interest.

My sisters and I found this podcast a few months ago and we have been listened to it ever since. It’s become a favorite. We love it except for the fact that sometimes we can’t sleep at night lol

At the begginginf this was a great podcast. But now it is just a place for adds about other podcast with no new episodes.

This podcast is brutal.. the host should find a new job.. one that doesn’t involve speaking.. she sounds like a robot

I do not understand how she got her voice to sound so robotic. Literally went to the reviews for answers lol.

Weirdly enough I enjoy listening to these cases sad as they can be. It's very interesting how young childrens minds work.. here's a case I feel should be covered (it's a family Related case) about Jessica Carr (7 yea old, Kunkletown, PA) being killed by her neighbor who was 9 at the time. Such a heart breaking situation and I know it has affected many families :-(

I don’t mind the narrator, her voice is fine and I normally listen to podcasts sped up so this one is no different. However she a seems to commonly blame the mother of these kids. Like the child was “separated from the love, care and comfort of their mother” and never mentioning the time spent with their father. Pretty sexist imo.

Listened to one episode and it was terrible. The voice is awful. Your Kenosha episode clearly shows your bias as you misrepresent the known facts and leave others out. You even mentioned “I’m not legal expert”. That’s good that you realize that, but maybe you should stop with your pathetic appeals to emotion in reporting such a politicized case.

I personally like warbaby. I think they do a great job enunciating. I’ve heard many true crime podcasts where the narrator talks too fast and in a deep pitch so this is great. I just wish the episodes were longer and that they would open convo about the case after telling the details!

This Podcast is decent in my opinion, I probably wouldn’t listen if they were any longer. This gals voice can put you to sleep on a boring show, which are about a third in my opinion. They do good research, but the boring voice after a half hr or 45 minutes is about all I can handle.

A friend turned me on to this POD. Your voice is amazing. Perfect for storytelling.

I tried, but hard pass :( Someone mentioned speeding it up to 1.5 and that worked, but I was already annoyed. While I continue searching for a great true crime podcast, I’ll stick to the Dateline podcast, I can’t quit that one.

Okayish info. Not much background on the people during the episode I listened too. Voice is terrible. There’s weird pauses in between a sentence. I’d rather listen to Britts annoying voice on crime junkie instead.

I cannot with the robotic voice dictation style 😩 was so excited to find this podcast and within 5 min, I could not 😵‍💫🥺

Eh idk the idea is nice and thank you for making it free, I truly appreciate people who actually do their research, I can tell how much effort you put into each episode, even tho the voice can compete with minds of madness. Why do you sound like that seriously? It’s easy to get tired of your voice after just an episode, but still appreciate the content you pull out.

I really love this podcast. Very interesting stories that I have never heard or heard little about. Research is thorough and I can’t help but keep listening to the next episode because I am so intrigued. I still get emotionally invested in each case regardless of Warbaby’s monotone. I, to, had the same thoughts listening to the first episode, that Warbaby has a flat tone with absolutely no emotion. An avid true crime podcast listener, I have learned to never judge a podcast on just one episode. Reading some of the reviews I agree with the comments stating, “how exited do you need a person to be telling stories of murderous children?” I really love this podcast. Keep listening I’m sure you will soon love it too!

So, just because you say “quote” before you say something doesn’t quite cut it. First of all, the proper way to quote someone is to say “open quote” then you recite the line, NOT LINES, and finally you say “close quote”. This host literally says “he said quote…” “she said quote” every. single. line. It’s super irritating. Instead of quoting to prove you looked up news reports just put the research in the show notes. Problem solved.

I wanted to shoot myself in the face listening to her voice!!! But after playing it at 1 1/2 speed, so much better!!! I don't have to make my kids an orphan!!!😂😂😂

I personally like how she does her podcast. Her voice is soothing and it’s how she wants to do it. How happy do you want her to sound while telling you about murderous children? IF YOU DONT LIKE IT LEAVE! You do not need to leave nasty reviews.

Honestly the tone of her voice is fine with me, it’s making sure the case is researched and presented properly. If you’re going to tell multiple stories TELL THE LISTENER! She often drifts from one topic to another which is annoying. We would like to know the direction. Also all the guest shows and off topic episodes I can live without. I do still enjoy the backstory

Why would you keep using that voice when it could be the reason your podcast isn’t successful??? Could be good if it wasn’t impossible to listen to. Pls stop

Content is actually good but sounds like Siri and she’s had way too much wine! Please get another host and I would try again can’t get through a whole episode!

Need someone else to read the story. I really want to hear this. But sounds like Siri/Alexa trying to sound human.
