Excellent interview with Dmytro Koleba

Ian Bremmer’s GZERO podcast offers articulate and intellectually grounded commentary on global affairs, but it strikes a tone that feels mismatched to the urgency of its subject matter. The podcast positions itself in the realm of geo risk, but delivery is subdued and analytical — framing high-stakes developments with a calm detachment that underplays their severity. Bremmer’s insights are undeniably thoughtful, but the passive framing leaves me wanting a more direct confrontation with the issues. For some, the podcast may feel more like informed observation than engaged risk analysis.

Ian Bremmer is always swell-prepared, thoughtful, and incredibly objective when talking to guests on either side of conflicts. It’s important to hear the POV of those we consider as adversaries. Bravo.

I use to live this podcast. It was very smart fair and reasonable. Unfortunately over last year it has become further and further left propaganda. Shame

G Zero world used to be full of interviews with world, leaders, politicians and thinkers about a variety of issues affecting the United States globally, as well as issues about sections of the world, which were quite insightful. Over the past six months the show has moved into blatant far left content with Ian showing his significance biases. Although it is good to hear other sides of the coin that you might not think, the show has just completely jump into being an aggressive pusher of a highly liberal global view.

Ian, I love this platform, but it is clear that you didn’t bring someone to represent the majority. If I wanted a biased opinion I can just watch CNN and FOX. Please hear the people, and not just the left agenda. This is the reason why most people wanted a change. Stay neutral please. We need both point of views, not one sided opinion. And thanks for the most incredible content for current events.

Ian and his fellow elitists should get a breath of fresh air outside of the big urban woke cities to see how the rest of the world lives. Then and only then will he understand why Trump won the election. Most of us are sick and tired of having woke ideology shoved down our throats.

I’m sure there are other podcasts that cover similar content, but I have only listened to GZero. I am rating this podcast as 5 stars simply because the show provides insight into global politics in a conversational fashion that can be understood by most people with a high school education or equivalent. At a minimum, this show provides listeners with the information necessary to make an informed analysis about global conflicts and relations.

Ian and team push the conversation further and farther. Listen to the interview with the Iranian (former) vice president- a great way to hear how other parts of the world see things.

Bremmer does an incredible job of taking critical global issues and providing a balanced in depth view of history, current status and relevant impact. Just excellent!

Host has good content and is very intelligent but can be a little arrogant/dismissive at times

I always count on Ian and his team to bring helpful insight and analysis on our troubled world. Should be one of your go-to podcasts on foreign affairs, if not your only one.

It’s hard not to know how we fit in this world. I like that it is fact based, even handed, and addresses subjects in a manner that makes sense.

It was so hard to listen to Mansour go on and on about how the Palestinians and their leadership have only been wanting peace with Israel but Israel has denied them that—with very little pushback or probing by Ian. I expected way more, holding Mansour’s feet to the fire.

Here is what is going to happen there will be an early role call and Biden will be nominated allow no concern on the Ohio ballot. Sometime after that before or during the convention Biden will step down as the nominee and Harris will the the Democratic candidate for president. Key for party to unite. Also we need all previous presidents to stand with Biden and tell the American people to unite to protect our democracy. After that all democratic leaders along with past presidents will campaign as if they are running

When you suggest that Palestinians leave the little that is left to them of their homeland, you are giving support to Israel, which will never allow them to return. Instead, dupport the rolling back of Israeli land theft. That is a goal more worthy of your efforts. The two can find a way to equitably divide/share the land. Israelis believe those unjust borders are sustainable but they never will be. Thank you for hosting the UN representative of the Palestinian State. Clare Leader

As usual, Friedman is dead certain about all of his Middle East certainties. I’m shocked to hear him suggest something of a moral equivalence between Netanyahu and the Hamas leadership, and surprised that he thinks that Netanyahu is solely running the strategy! It’s a triumvirate of Bibi, Gantz and Gallant, fully supported by the Israeli electorate. I’m shocked to hear both Friedman and the host take Hamas’ death toll numbers as gospel! Im equally shocked that Friedman, with all of his journalistic experience, can presume to know more about military strategy than the IDF leadership. With respect to precisely targeted special operations, if took the Mossad years to retaliate for the Munich massacre, and it took the USA ten years to get Bin Laden. Why no mention of the inhumanity of Hamas fighters hiding behind and under the civilian population. Why isn’t the world incensed about that?

This podcast and the Fareed Zakaria GPS are the only two foreign affairs programs in all of media that are insightful

This is a great podcast. I always learn something from the show and I respect Ian‘s viewpoint. I listen to most every episode.

Ian Bremmer is the closest thing we have to a prophet. He makes predictions with a high degree of accuracy, but sadly he often focuses on dangerous world events. If you want to stay informed and ahead of the rest, follow Ian into the future.

Love your thoughtful world-order review and insight. You totally gave the democrat an easy pass on the border crisis. From my understanding, the Dems have fought against border security since at least 2015/16 in the Trump presidency. For Dems to pretend now that they want to fix the border is ridiculous. You should have pushed back on that. Why doesn’t Biden do anything by executive order?? I’m surprised how weak you were… you are normally very good at being in the middle and very thoughtful

Ian I listened to this pod with your guest Tamara Keith 3 times and this division and media hype election fraud rhetoric conversation with very little credit being given to Joe Biden and Democratic consistent messaging ignited the Youth vote which you didn’t even mention! Biden’s Presidential representation to the world in Bali with side discussions with XI Jinping was a vital tamp down to “tensions” escalating. Diplomacy is paramount to world peace. All media and polling agencies are collectively responsible for fueling this “divisiveness” and disinformation leading up to our Midterm elections. KF- Albuquerque, NM

I’ve never heard Ian Bremer on NPR but his segments must be no more than .00004 seconds long. He offers these “extended” interviews that run as long as 20 minutes. “explain to me global nuclear weapons strategy…in 14 minutes after ads”. would be a 5 star podcast if the medium was fully utilized. Seinfeld episodes are longer and more informative.

Ian, Ian, Ian … I love you man and the type of information you are a purveyor of … but how in the Lord’s holy name can you discuss Brazil, Bolsonaro and Lula - with another former Brazilian President - without ever mentioning the fact that Bolseneros and his henchman had Lula jailed so Bolsonaro could win the last ejection!? … And in the context of comparisons to Trump? How did this happen? … And in the meantime, the man you interviewed illuminated nothing about what is really going on there. To my eyes - you pulled your punches and allowed this man to give a mealy-mouthed interview signifying nothing. All I’m saying man, is that you let me down. William Kern

Thoughtful discussion. Episode list doesn’t update properly. Episodes later than oct 29, 2018, and several episodes prior, appear under ‘Unknown Season’, which iOS displays below ‘Season 1’, making it difficult to find what’s current. As of this posting, today’s episode doesn’t appear anywhere on the list, and is not locatable by search function; it only seems to appear if subscribed.

Ian Bremmer and Eurasia Group have done a fantastic job of bring some of the world’s most intelligent and thoughtful geopolitical influencers to the table for candid, digestible conversations that high school students and PhDs alike will enjoy. It’s cerebral without being pretentious, authentic while remaining reasonable. Recommended listening for any ideology wishing to cut through the all-too-prevalent static in today’s democratized media.

Recommend G-Zero World for students studying International Relations, especially MBA candidates. Ian Bremmer podcasts and YouTube videos are excellent discussions on global affairs, changing markets, and on geopolitical risks.
