NappyDresserNoir Bloody HumorAwesome podcast!

ash ellejokes are terriblethe jokes are tone-deaf. i was listening to the one about brenda and erica, whose throats were slit by ron and dan lafferty. terribly sad crime, very senseless, and the “jokes” were every other sentence and seriously undercutting the gravity of the crime.

falsefootKeep kicking against the pricks!Hey baby! Only just discovered you bloody marvelous cucking dunts!! Love you madly and hope you come back. Be well and safe. dea

OldbearcabinGreat dynamicBloody Murder is a perfect blend of true crime story and comedy, without lacking real empathy and compassion for crime victims. Barney and Tara are perfectly inappropriate, often vulgar, and sometimes rude to each other in the most hilarious ways imaginable. If you don’t think true crime and comedy can possibly go together, please give this show a listen! I learn a lot about Aussie slang and I really enjoy the great dynamic between Tara and Barney. True crime + comedy + cursing = Bloody Murder = awesomeness!!! Thanks for a great podcast!

BakabunsMuch better out thereI got 15 minutes in and had to shut it off. I’m all for humor in true crime, but the jokes weren’t funny and far too many. They were also incredibly forced. And a man and woman joking forcedly about mansplaining? Yeah… skip this one and pick a better true crime podcast.

brainzmatterMaybe it’s an age thing…… but while I love humour, even dark humour, said humour has to actually be funny—not just a bunch of foul-for-no-reason-cussing. The so-called “banter” lacks spontaneity and seems forced in places. The woman is just plain GROSS. I listened to the one about the Neo Nazi and the way the parent’s comments were voiced was not only not funny, but crass and patronizing. Families of perps suffer as well as families of victims—though I’m not running a suffering contest. What is the motive for reading these people’s comments from the NYT in silly, cartoonish voices? Also, intro, breaks and banter take way too much time. The crime seems almost a footnote to these two and their mediocre humour. I won’t be subscribing or “following” as it’s now called I don’t know what to say about the rave reviews of this garbage and can only think these listeners are about 12 and spend most of their time drunk.

kayferguson13Do a comedy showThere’s nothing more disgusting than a true crime podcast that has lots of raucous idiotic repertoire throughout.

BschoraOh the lingo hurts.First Listen, 3 Stars. 38. Chopper. OMG, the lingo and accent hurts. Especially the pre-recorded playback. At the 25-minute mark they're playing a recording from a movie and honest to God I’m understanding NONE of it. My Bad. But I do have more than 60 years of English under my belt. I will give this two more episodes before canning. Can’t can it. These guys are hilarious… when I do understand what they are saying. 4 Stars.

MacShavayIf you listen to episode 167, you’ll want to pull your hair out 😳just listened to episode 167 about the Gold Coast rappers… correction—TRIED to listen to it… I was super interested in the case, but OMG the female host is BEYOND annoying, offensive, tone-deaf, etc. which is sad because i actually really wanted to hear about the case

Mildre's MarieDistractingThe hosts aren’t nearly as humorous as they would hope. Gave it a fair shot and and listened to a few episodes but it’s a no for me. Hosts are somewhat likable but the profanity and crudeness are so frequent, I can’t focus on the subject. Tone it down.

CuriousRozhBloody Murder - The Fourth AlbumTurns out one can find true crime AND dark humor all in one place! This duo liberally sprinkles comically timed lady-swears and deep dive research throughout the story.

Low569Keep Kicking Against The PricksBarney and Tara are hilarious. Great storytelling and oh the banter!
-
SteedJusticeA delightful pair of boobs!Tara and Barney are a minty fresh breath of air in the genre! While taking care to only target perpetrators for humiliation and maintaining respect for victims and their loved ones, they still manage to convey the suspense, mystery and resolution I crave in my true crime cases. Some may not think humor is appropriate in this context- but fear not, the jokes only hit half the time. JK they’re hilarious! Do yourself the favor and listen to a Cambo guest appearance episode!

SquareIsTopOfCoolTrue Crime, True ComedyThis is one of the funniest comedy/true crime podcasts I’ve ever heard! Every episode is full of clever jokes, but the hosts still manage to convey the seriousness of the crimes they cover and stay respectful of the victims. It’s the perfect balance of comedy and true crime. My favorite part, besides the well-written jokes, is that there’s not an hour of chat before the story; they save the chat (and hilarious outtakes) for afterwards, which is perfect for lightening the mood after, y’know, hearing about murder. I also like the “True Crime Nerd Time” listener recommendation segment in the middle of the story; I’ve gotten some good recommendations from it and plan to write in with my own! Thank you so much for a lovely podcast!

Penguin DustLegends of Crime that are True!Sariban & Black entertain and educate, whilst maintaining empathy for the victims. Jugglers of stories entwined with Murder, that can become Bloody complex and bizarre. Simply, give one episode a go and you’ll be hooked. Bloody Murder podcast with Barney and Tara, is brilliantly addictive. I’ve been a Fan since their first episodes. I’ve never once regretted this “monkey on my back,” or the vocal company from the Aussie hosts. Thank you, Tara, Barney and swingin’ Travis the chimpanzee. *This review is not fake nor is it a hoax. 🙃

SimonesMomNasty styleJust heard your ad. Really, unnecessarily, snotty. Don’t poke a stick at other podcasters. Everyone has a style; just define yours without doing it at the expense of anyone else. Just neither funny nor relevant. New rules in this day & age: Time to grow up.

MaraVladHey BAAAAAABY!!!Hey sexy Russian Tara, and Sexy voice Barney Black! Love your show--don't stop. Ever.
-
MockyngbyrdThe dark humor is tempered by the humanity of the hostsOf all the (True Crime and other) podcasts I listen to, this is the only one that consistently makes me laugh out loud! The banter between Tara and Barney is hilarious; while at the same time the other commentary shows how caring they are about the victims. Keep it up!
