Tom HorstmannGreat combination of substance and nonsenseI really like these boys. I find that too many wargame podcasts devote a ton of time to simply repeating rules information, or stating the shallowest implications of text. These guys really dig deep into the theory of the game, and games in general, with less of an emphasis on how to execute any given tactic, but rather on how to think about a game. Sometimes this theory is in dedicated segments, other times the broad lessons are suggested from their dissection of specific game examples. Combine this actual grist with the bravado-laced humor and good nature, and you have by far my favorite Guild Ball podcast, and one of my favorite game podcasts in general.

SfacieWorth your timeThese guys are funny, informed and produce a polished product. It’s worth your time to listen. Thanks fellas!

muse1991Review for strictly the worstThis is my favorite guild ball podcast. These guys do a great job explaining the competitive scene and they do it in a fun and entertaining way. I enjoy their theory crafting and the hosts.

MidwestwargamingTimeless contentLots of podcasts (including my own) are bound by time to be relevant. Strictly the Worst provides top-knotch Guild Ball strategy and tactics that is timeless. Models and plot cards may change but the advice they give on every episode (when to counter attack, how to kick off, who to kick off with, etc., etc.,) remains permanently invaluable.

All Infinity Players Tune InWhat happens when nerds get competitiveI find these guys great! They have an interesting view of the game, always go very deep into a combination of stats, theories, and yet retain a lot of personality and are very self depreciating and aware of their own gaming flaws. Keep up the good work guys!

Guy in GreenvilleStrictly the bestThis is a great movie review podcast. Also they talk about guild ball sometimes. If you love two people making references just to confuse the third guy, run, don't walk to your local podcast ap and download all the episodes of strictly the worst.

ACD12+Expected FunI estimate that as the remaining time in the episode approaches zero (from the positive direction), the limit of the probability of hearing any of the terms, "expected value", "results-oriented thinking", or "tempo" converges to one. If any of that made much sense to you and sounds like a good time, I suspect you will love Strictly the Worst too.

Ben NietzelCompetitive FocusOf the Guild Ball podcasts I’ve come across (7-8) this is by far the best one for those of a competitive slant. There is a lot of great information and analysis here. There is also a good amount of game theory that borders on pretty advanced. People brand new to the game are likely going to struggle to glean a ton of of information, but over time, this podcast would prove very useful for them. People that want to play Guild Ball at a high level or that just enjoy thinking about the game will get a lot out of this podcast. The hosts do a nice job and have really improved as they’ve logged episodes. They can come off a bit conceited at first, but to be honest they’ve got the credentials to back it up with the podcast sporting the current best player the US (and possibly the world) and two other guys who are major contenders at any tournament they are at. Personally, I sort of enjoy their attitude as it’s a nice change of pace from the normal self-deprivation and downplaying that most amateur podcasts do. It’s reminiscent in that way to Oz-Machine. TL;DR - A good podcast that continues to improve with a strong focus on competitive play and concepts. Well worth a listen.

Nix603Becoming great! This is becoming a very good Guild Ball focused podcast. The first episode has some cringe-worthy moments but the hosts frind their stride starting with the second episode. It's becoming really good and jumping to a must listen as they release each new episode!
