Dan’s storytelling is the perfect mix of information and hilarity. I can’t count the amount of times I have guffawed while listening. I don’t have the patience for Apple’s, or any other platform’s incessant commercial breaks so I happily subscribe monthly through Patreon. On top of not having to listen to adds every five minutes, Bad Magic does wonderful philanthropic work with the money they earn through Patreon subscriptions.

I’ve been listening since episode 3 back in 2016. Since then there has never been another show that has as much content, comedy, or even as welcoming of a community or host that this podcast brings!

I’ve been listening to Bad Magic for years now. Love everything they do. Some episodes don’t hit home with me but the consistent work that goes into them I always apparent. Love what you do Dan and the whole Bad Magic team. 3/5 stars wouldn’t change a thing! Go team Meatsack!

I listen to podcasts at my work about 5-6 hours a day. I absolutely love the length of these podcasts and Dan’s sense of humor. I learn and I laugh! And thanks to this podcast I look like a genius when I play trivia with my friends. I can’t believe how much I retain from this podcast vs others! Hail Nimrod!

So funny and educational (for the most part) I laugh out loud multiple times a listen. Just can’t get enough. Keep up the great work Dan and team!!

False Equivalence. Qanon is a centralized cult organized around a nebulous leadership that supplies outrageous lies they call Qdrops. Most who are involved in it, get there from prior interest in the “wellness” ideology, also full of unfounded & untrue claims. Antifa is like Yankees fans. They’re all around but not organized. Much closer to the Occupy Wall Street movement. A much looser conglomeration of individuals united around a common perception that there’s a rising trend to authoritarian Fascist based governance. The difference to me is, like the Tea Party wealthy donors came on to establish leadership & gain sway with a group that is willing to be deluded, and the fertile ground of the “wellness” movement had a ready membership who loved feeling they had some hidden knowledge. That’s Qanon.

Christ is King. MAGA is forever. Look into the fraud and waste Doge found. Google it. Take 2 mins out of your day. Elon and his team of genius prodigies are rolling back 70 years of foreign nation building policy since WW2 and a $34 trillion debt. People will lose their jobs. Stock market will dip. Cough medicine is hard to take but necessary. The people who are really responsible for this imminent financial disaster have been in control for decades, and are blaming the guy who was elected for the first time running as a public servant. If you can’t see this you’re in a leftist idiot death spiral. Nelson Mandela wrote “How to be a good communist”. Reagan was right. Thatcher was right. Barack Obama was right. He was a communist. Norway has great social services because they are largely homogeneous and enjoy a near non-existent defense budget. Who picks up that tab? The US through NATO. Pretty easy to guess what two episodes I just listened to lol. In 2025 Dan has lost the plot. I respect his grind, and I like many previous episodes, but Dan regularly appeals to authority in scientific and academic issues without seriously considering or even presenting an oppositional viewpoint. He would like to see himself as a fair centrist, but he regularly lands on the side of the AP and BBC, not the side of unbiased thinkers. It’s state run media! Born in a different time and place he’d be citing Pravda news for information. It’s the Antifa episode replaying itself, over and over…Unironically ⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you have made it this far and are now abandoning our king mush mouth because he made it perfectly clear where he stands and it’s not next to you then I don’t know what show you thought you were listening to. It only became political for you when Dan went after your candidate, you were happy as a clam listening to Mormons, quakers, communist, Scientologist, Islamist and many other minority groups catch a jab or critique BUT NOW he’s too political? This podcast used to be the highlight of my week. I tried to look past the political lectures that began creeping their way into the show around the election, but recently has become too much to ignore. Is a shame. Used to be fun.

Pretty strong leftist bent with this one. Which is surprising because the host is otherwise so capable of strong insight – and for someone who lives in CdA, no less.

Easily a loyal listener and huge fan of Dan’s comedy. I honestly find myself thinking (wishing) that I knew Dan growing up. I imagine he’d be such a blast to have conversations with! So happy to have Timesuck to listen to. Keep up the awesomeness Master Dan the man.

I recently discovered this podcast. The host is hilarious, witty, and provides a great story along with facts. Very nicely done and researched. I highly recommend listening to Dan.

How do you take someone serious that calls people an idiot of the internet but at the same time says mint mobile will compare to the likes of a company like Verizon. You sir, are an idiot of the internet. And people, PLEASE, do not stop researching because this dude says to leave something up to an expert. Experts disagree daily, that’s literally what science is… Einstein and Newton disagreed on one of the hottest topics known to man, that’s shows that all experts don’t agree. Same thing can be said with the medical field and how much silencing went on during “covid.” Don’t listen to this dude and stay curious on your own. WITH EVERYTHING.

My daughter introduced me to the podcast after I shared some of Dan’s comedy with her. I’ve been hooked ever since! Dan, thank you for creating such a brilliant podcast that celebrates curiosity in all its forms.

I’ve been a listener for over 5 years now. It’s really sad to see this show become what it is. Dan is so blinded by his liberal pov that it takes all the humor out. There has to be a strong political bias in every single subject now, and it’s unfortunate. What used to be hilarious jokes are now just rants preaching and virtue signaling over and over. The only “humor” left is beating a dead horse on something that wasn’t funny the first time.

Been a fan since about 2017. So what if he has different political views. This dude tries to stay out of politics. Enjoy the research and comedic relief in between. I voted for trump and just see another persons opinion. Who cares? People are allowed to think differently. This dude tries to give entertainment for all. Everyone who takes it politically is too thin skinned. Grow up.

Donald Trump is a racist, sexist, mentally ill felon. He is a dangerous Kim Jong Un wannabe that thrives on power, attention and manipulation. Most of the negative reviews for Timesuck are from people that allowed themselves to be manipulated into supporting Trump because they heard the propaganda over and over. Loud and persistent doesn’t equal correct. Being LOUD does not make one right. Saying something REPEATEDLY does not make it true. Sorry, just a little experiment there for the weak minded.

Great podcast, love everything, wouldn’t change a single thing. 3/5* ***Amending my original review. I still listen to the show even though it’s not as good as it used to be. Dan has allowed an overtly obvious political bias to enter his episodes since the election and it’s not good. One of the things I loved was back when Dan was truly politically neutral on his show. I’m not saying you can’t have opinions or let your beliefs guide you, but to claim you are for “Team Meatsack” and then disparage half your listeners makes you a hypocrite. I haven’t lost faith in the show yet. I hope they can right this ship bc it’s been a great run and I want it to continue.

I’m not really one for podcasts but a couple of weeks back I decided to try listening to help make my work day go by faster and landed in Timesuck. Each episode is more interesting than the last I listen to this show for about 6 hours a day binging it starting all the way back at episode 1. I’m about 50 or 60 episodes in and haven’t come across an episode yet that isn’t informative, entertaining or both. Thank you King Cummins Magnificent for helping make my day at work bearable.

I’m new to this podcast. Loved it so much that I decided to do some bingeing. Dan,,, I am requesting some new underpants as my current ones have some “Can’t help myself pee dribble stains” due to the frequent laughter. My wife is disgusted with the laundry situation but I’ve assured her that the struggle is real and totally worth it. Regarding the soiling she was not convinced with my argument. In my mind, I won. Thank you for taking the time to put these episodes out and helping this old fella to smile through out the day. Cheers 😁🤘

Love getting lost in the time sucking episodes. Really helps my 12hr days go by faster. I’m weird and recently started listening from episode one and it’s been a fun journey listening to his skills develop. Huge STD fan and now a timesucker. Love what you do Cummins crew. Dude does his research… Accurate facts with comedic commentary. History dorks can appreciate the time put into research and those who don’t love history can appreciate his comedic commentary / story telling. *if you don’t fall into those categories, you’re 100% a space lizard. The show used to be great. Used to listen to it every week. But now it’s not as good as it once was. Ever since he started firing his employees I think the show has gone down hill. The last good episode he had was in November 2023, the dead giveaway episode. Ever since then it’s been frustrating to listen to and I’m finally done listening to timesuck. Thank you for the good episodes and the entertainment you provided back in the day.
