    Why does this exist?
Tehran is insufferable and what keeps happening to the panel?

    Waste of time
I made it through 1 and 1/2 of this podcast and won't listen to any more. The hosts know less about the Royal Family than I do, and that's a low bar right there. And the male host kept saying how much he hates Prince Philip, absolutely HATES him, which shows to me he has completely missed all the nuances and complexities in the character and in the relationship between Philip and Elizabeth. There must be better podcasts out there devoted to this outstanding series.

    Love it!
This is a hip podcast about the Crown that I love. It’s not boring & it’s everything that I was thinking too. It illuminates the subtle drama of the Crown. I’m also going to side eye some of the comments here because the undertones to me are apparent. It shows exactly why we don’t invite some you all to the cookout.

    Tehran is Annoying
First, it appears that there is no more AfterBuzz TV. True? Anyway, I am late to The Crown. And this is the only podcast for the first two seasons I could find. It was good for follow up, but Tehran’s know-it-all, bulldozing attitude should’ve gotten him asked to leave. As soon as there’s another pod to listen to, I won’t go through this agony. I listen to A LOT of AfterBuzz pods, and never have they made me so uncomfortable.

    Mansplaining and misinformation
I love podcasts and The Crown and have never been compelled to write a review before. Between obnoxious Tehran and the complete lack of information by all of the hosts (or even attempt to do their homework), this podcast is an incredible disappointment. I was hoping for insights, but after listening to two episodes, it became apparent that any insights provided were either wrong or adolescent. Skip this one if you have any level of interest or understanding of The Crown, the British Royal Family, or even history in general. Also skip it if you cannot tolerate overspeaking, interjecting, and mansplaining while the female hosts awkwardly alternate between accepting the guy’s assertions without question or ignoring them altogether while trying to remain on track.

    Male host is the worst
I agree with many of the comments critical of the male speaker in this podcast. I couldn’t handle 20 minutes of his hot air and I’m done.

    Too much mansplaining
The two women in this podcast have great things to say and this podcast could be worlds greater without the male host continually talking over them. Bummer.

    Not much substance or knowledge
One of the hosts is negative and unpleasant, the other is a competent broadcaster but neither seems to have any special knowledge or insight into this show that you can’t get from just watching it. The woman host would be pleasant to listen to if all you wanted was a recap without much if any analysis.

    Infuriating
Really wanted to get into this podcast. The mansplaining and talking over the other hosts (while being wrong in an easily google-able way) made it impossible. I couldn’t even get through an episode despite trying twice.

    Ummm No
Lost me about five minutes into the first episode when the male host got basic historical facts completely wrong.

    Tehran is a Mansplainer
I enjoy this podcast and I’m fine with listening to them talk about the royals and the crown but Tehran is SO mansplainy it’s painful to listen to at times. I feel like he’s one of those guys who considers himself a feminist but as he explains why he’s a feminist he shouts over all the women who are objecting. Examine yourself man. Tsahai you go girl.

    Unknowledgabe Hosts
Listened to the first episode of season 1 until two of the hosts said they had no idea Prince Philip is still alive. That was enough for me.

And you thought the show had drama
The two people who host this show could not be more opposite. Tehran is the worst and on pretty much any other after show I would stop listening because I can’t stand him, but Tsahai is so awesome and lovely I keep listening for her. They definitely clash on opinions because Tehran can be an idiot. Tsahai is a British Royal fan girl at heart like me and I love her segment The Tweets Are Talking. If you can put up with Tehran then this is an interesting after show to The Crown. Don’t say I didn’t warn you when you start rolling your eyes at him though.

    Fire the Male Host
I love listening to after show reviews but the male host completely ruins this show. I get that he’s supposed to offer funny anecdotes but he’s not funny. Not even a little bit. He’s patronizing, arrogant, and is rudest podcast personality I’ve ever heard. It’s after buzz so it’s not meant to be high brow, but I genuinely can’t fathom how this guy has a job.

    No spoiler warnings
The Royal family history has never been comprehensive to me. The show has totally captured my imagination. I’m binging the podcast and it would be nice if the hosts gave a warning when they are about to discuss how the drama unfolded in real life.

    Disappointed
The male cohost ruins this entire podcast. Talks over the other host and is very pompous. He thinks his opinion trumps all.

    HERSTORY
I’m a big fan of history and the early 1900s so it is a treat to be able to watch this show. If you are in the same boat as me, check out this podcast to get all the information!

    Hard pass
Terrible, poorly researched, and boring. What a ineloquent disgrace to such a graceful, meticulous, and powerful show.

Podcasted on a third grade level
If you are intelligent-and I believe The Crown attracts smart viewers-than this podcast will drive you crazy. Hosts are inarticulate, factually incorrect, and generally come across as not very bright. The male host seems aggressive and arrogant, and constantly interrupts his female host. If you are searching for some thoughtful insights and reflection on this show, look elsewhere.

    Well
Was excited for this podcast but it has been a big disappointment. The guy gets way off track and talks about himself. He also contradicts the woman in a very demeaning way. I will keep listening but it is painful.

They are not right for this
The host are so inaccurate about so many facts. They are lacking in historical knowledge. It would help to look up basic things and events from this time period. The male host is so harsh and loud, he over talks his co-host majority of the time.

A few good insights ruined by poor quality delivery
This podcast series delivers a few good insights on each Crown episode that are otherwise ruined by historical and linguistic sloppiness. Factual, grammatical and pronunciation errors do not do justice to a series that has meticulous historical research and extremely good writing. I can’t listen any more. Sorry.

They should look things up before they opine
The hosts get well-known facts wrong. They should do some historical research. The male host is too aggressive in his uninformed opinions and doesn't let his female co-host speak. He is rude and disrespectful. Can no longer listen to his nonsense.
  • Yokosmom
    Too little knowledge
I understand that the podcasters are representing the average viewer, but their utter ignorance of British and royal history leads to constant misinterpretation of what is being shown on the screen. Gave up when they chatted about the abdication and said what was the big deal—not like being a king is much of a job. If you know anything about royal history, this podcast probably isn’t for you.
  • Drumloca
    Major mixed feelings
Not sure how to feel about this podcast. On the whole, a lot of thought provoking points made which is a drastic improvement on most AfterBuzz or other basic show recaps. Unfortunately the frequency of inaccurate comments and mispronunciations of commonly known historical events/facts takes the listener right out of it. At the very least, when podcasting about The Crown, be able to pronounce Mountbatten-Windsor properly and understand why that became the surname. Even if you don’t remember this from history class, it was addressed multiple times over the first two seasons.
