The hosts don’t understand the plot and a lot of times they don’t even know the characters names. They are completely unprepared. It’s like they didn’t even watch. Maybe they had the episode on in the other room while they were folding clothes. They also don’t appear to understand that a lot of the characters are ACTUAL HISTORICAL FIGURES. That one really surprised me. If you had told me this was a gag podcast, like an April fools thing, I would’ve believed you.

I was looking for a good podcast to follow The ‘Man in the High Castle. There are very few. I spent the first season giving this a chance. The girl as host was an idiot no nothing, knew nothing of history and was clueless. I tried to listen to the second season. rNot much better even with a new crew. Folks, don’t waste you time with this. Buzztv, please. You can do better.

Courtney makes the podcast hard to listen to. She is passionate about the show but is argumentative and does not seem to know what’s going on.

I finally got around to watching The Man In The High Castle (just finished Season 1 on 1-24-2019), thoroughly enjoy it and wanted to hear more about the show. This is one of the only podcasts available, so I have downloaded it and listened to the first 9 episodes. I agree with several other reviews below in that Courtney is very detrimental to the podcast. I'm not trying to be mean, but this story apparently exceeds her ability to grasp it. She veers off plot to make meaningless points and starts arguments over mundane details or points that just don't matter. The guys are good, but they apparently missed quite a few history classes, or are still young, as they don't understand obvious points about WW II , the 1950's or 1960's. The exception is Zach. He is the sharpest tool in the shed. I always enjoy his perspectives. I'll continue listening, hoping it improves.

I really enjoy this Podcast when Courtney H is not a guest. She comes across as argumentative when she is just confused about what’s going on during the show. I’m still on Season one and have found that I literally have to skip over anything she says. I hope that she doesn’t see this, as it is not my intention to make her feel bad. I just want to ensure the people who are in charge of this Podcast are aware. Otherwise, this is a fun Podcast to listen to. Thanks!!

Season 1 podcast was great. 2nd season podcast began with highly political Trump bashing appearing to equate the Trump administration to a totalitarian regime portrayed in the series. I'll be looking for another podcast to subscribe.

Season 1 cast was really good of the Pod but the new cast for season 2 is terrible. Within the first few minutes they equate Trump to the Nazis. Not listening to this again.

I subscribed to this podcast because it was really the only one devoted to this show. I'm late to the party and just binged both seasons. Episodes 9 & 10 are curiously missing. I even tried the final recap interview with the actor who plays Kido and felt they could have asked waaaay better questions. I felt like I was listening to TMZ where they all talk over one another and not with any depth or insight. I've unsubscribed.

Starts off great but gets progressively worse as time goes on as female host constantly inserting her opinion on unimportant details and going off on tangents. She starts off Ep 6 by complaining that it's not exciting enough. She should stick to dumb action flicks and Lifetime movies. Man in the High Castle is an intellectual thriller. She argues with the other hosts that the fictional V-A day doesn't mean Victory in America day (it's the alternate history version of V-E day) but insists VA stands for Veterans Day because she looked it up (false, and irrelevant anyway). At least she doesn't have vocal fry but she's clearly a millennial and talks way too much. Other reviews here agree. This is simply not the show for her to critique. Maybe stick to the Kardashians.

I listen to this because it's one of the only podcasts about this show. The part that really bothers me is that the hosts often misinterpret parts of the show that aren't really up for interpretation--and spent a bit of time discussing these inaccurate "facts". They must realize later on that they weren't correct in their assumptions, but never follow up with this in later podcasts. I respect a podcast that can later say, "Sorry about that--we were wrong on that one!" One episode Courtney confidently tells everyone that the summertime picnic in NY on "VA Day" is Veterans's Day--when this so clearly isn't the case. Most recently, in episode 10, they're excitedly discussing the fact that we finally met the man in the high castle--except the person they're discussing is clearly not! Little frustrating when the hosts of a podcast don't watch the show closely enough to "get" the parts that are just given to us without mystery.

This is a wonderful series. I was hook from the trailer!!! Great casting. I'm a fan of Luke since his days on Bones. Nobody else can be a better Obergruppenfuhrer Smith than Rufus Sewell. I'm so glad the team is back for season 2 and can't wait for season 3, 4, 5, and so on and so on.... Afterbuzz should contine this discussion. You give me clarity.

I would give this podcast 5 stars if it weren't for Courtney, the host. She is very combative and tends to hijack the podcast, stubbornly arguing some point she insists on "winning." Although she does occasionally make some excellent points, too often she injects unnecessary hostility and stress into the conversation. Also she frequently makes mistakes. The other panelists are quite good and seem truly interested in the world TMITHC has created.

I really enjoyed listening to most of these episodes. However the last episode reviewing episode 10 was the biggest letdown. Where it should have been exciting, the female ruined it by getting in the minutia and arguing thru it. She didn't let the guy get any real thoughts out. The two guys were really interesting in their reviews. I'm not sure I can listen next season if the girl is still part of the podcast. Please use the two guys only.

I started out reallly liking this podcast, but I don't think the female host is a good fit. She seems to spend too much time arguing about details that don't really matter, yet misses the bigger points on other things. I enjoy listening to the other hosts, though. Hopefully next season will be better.

I gave it 5 stars above for eyecandys sake, but here in the comments 4 out of 5 because while the cast IS great, it seems a little rushed. I know this isnt Mad Men Or Game of Thrones, but Man In the High Castle still merits in depth discussion.
