elizzzzzzzzabethYikesUmmm, I’ve listened to this podcast for years, but it’s getting increasingly difficult to stomach. An outlet that champions themselves on “vulnerability” yet rarely gives voice to those vulnerable. I don’t understand how the 10 minutes of chat about how to spend your millions of dollars in the Seth Rogan episode followed by boat chat is cognizant with your ethos? Especially when the majority of the world is grappling with the economic fallout of the post-Covid recession and trade wars? Have any of you been to grocery store lately? won’t be tuning in for the time being - content has become so out of touch.

Beth.✏️Honest, fun and you never know what’s around the corner…I love the conversations that come out of the connection that Dax builds with his guests, the twists and turns in topics keep you guessing about what’s next! There is so much to learn from listening here!

sova_trululuSo eclectic, so great!!!This is one of my favourite podcasts and the one that get me into podcasts in the first place. I love it that I learn so much from it. Dax, if you ever see this, as Parenthood has recently been added on Netflix I has started the show for the first time. Crosby is a so so sweet character! You played it so well! Thank you for it and this podcast!

Shires lassHoliday with HeartThanks for a wonderfully heartwarming and fun Christmas episode , watching it on You Tube felt like we were there with you guys ! The singing was the best . Happy Holidays Armcherries ❤️
-
Archipelago manNot goodI suppose my one star goes to the guests who have to bear this chat with Dax and the sidekick. Dax asks really dumb and gossipy type questions and is clearly a very narcissistic person. Waste of time.

Abi666Repetitive Wondery ads!Day 1 and I am already hating the move

EebygummLove podcast but auto-editing is intenseBreaths are barely taken and it’s intense to listen to. No sense of natural conversation with air to breathe. Had to stop listening to the Kevin Costner’s which I was otherwise enjoying. I hope this is read by the producers as I really enjoy this podcast.

Louth356Love itMy favourite podcast by a mile. I love all the episodes but Armchair Anonymous has to be my favourite. Dax and Monica are so funny, real and wholeheartedly honest. You have a big fan over here in England!:-)
-
FitziDCo Host MissMonica is insufferable. Had to switch off her vapid pontificating is unlistenable.
-
taschalouDisappointingThis was a great podcast at the beginning. But has now become a dick swinging contest - the episode with JVN was a huge miss. It was pretty grim listening. Traumatising your guest in search of clicks and frankly, attention. It was lazy. I didn’t listen during the Spotify only years and was excited when it came back to Apple - but am so turned off by what this has become…
-
Davidc79My favorite podcastI listen to a few podcasts and have unfollowed various ones as I become bored of the content but Armchair expert is one I keep coming back to. The guests are great and so are the hosts.

Hattie49It’s the same every time ... boringWas your dad and life exactly like mine? You got a lot of action in high school didn’t you. I’m in AA. I was afraid you didn’t like me, tell me you do. Let me move on instead of asking about your Mom. Unless I think your Mom was hot then I will talk about that. Let me judge your life entirely on the basis of your looks ... ... Unless I think you are are smarter than me. Let me assume you are a gay woman (if I don’t find you attractive) Uh huh uh huh uh huh uh huh. I have a degree in anthropology.

knocked up and annoyedI wish Dax would stop interruptingAn excellent example of a man who thinks he knows more than experts. I cannot beat his constant interruption of guests, ruining key points to talk about his wife, or his own story and ruining the narrative, or correcting experts. It’s frustrating but I’ll save it as an example of mansplaining at its worst.
-
Englishchap1972Love the show but vocal fry is a tough listenMy favourite episodes are actually the ‘Flightless Bird’ ones with David, Monica and is it Rob? Whatever his name is, his vocal fry makes the episodes almost unlistenable. Sorry Rob!

sesirogluPuzzling 🤔I absolutely love this podcast love dax’s vulnerability but also trying to be so positive about things. What I find puzzling is some of the reviews which are critical mention many episodes 🤔 why the f### are you still listening to something you don’t like. Keep up the good work I find dax’s openness on being abused very therapeutic 💜

maryan76A feminist show sponsored by Noom???Kirsten and Monica are great. The interview with Malala was inspirational. But in the middle of this fantastic, empowering show comes an endorsement of Noom, full of diet culture language and how Noom « removes the shame »‘from eating??? Noom is 100% diet culture with a thin, disingenuous varnish of « self care ». Kirsten, Monica, with love: please consider whether endorsing this aligns with the values you portray in the show.

Billy BeeftoeHorses for coursesAll the best with their success, I stopped listening just before the big Spotify win. I tried again to see if it was a mood thing. Harry Windsor? No thank you. It pretty much turned into another Hollywood self-indulgent, self-aggrandising machine for plugging the next self-interest of the guests and hosts. I’m sure ideas will be chewed over, but usually under the usual caveats and modern newspeak just make sure they don’t fall foul of the next mob. I don’t know why I was surprised, elements of it don’t really lend themselves to the type of broadcast I like. But good luck. I’m sure they’re all nice people involved. Their world is an alien and ultimately uninteresting one to me.

mary--1111Monica needs to be replacedDax is fantastic, he engages, has interesting points/stories/questions. Monica is bringing everything down. No original or interesting input, her comments are uninteresting or pointless. Not a good match. I would prefer somebody who could bring more to the podcast.

Bp7292MesmerisingDon’t even second guess, get stuck in. They are just insane 🙌🏻

Brer Rabbit Is the dudeCouldn’t get through themI really wanted to stick with this because I really enjoy Dax and his interview/conversation style. The first episode with Kristen was brilliant. The only reason I stopped listening was Monica. I couldn’t get through more than five episodes and I found it interesting that Dax had to confirm that she was a part of the show as had obviously received feedback about Monica.
-
walk in the wavesLaughing and learningI love that this podcast can make me laugh as well as learn. The episode with Daniel Kahneman was fascinating and Dax manages to ask the questions which make the ideas more accessible. I really enjoy the tone of this podcast and the range of topics. And not just for the young ones. I’m 57! Great work, keep it up
-
SingularSausageDax got my dick suckedI got a blow job in the cinema during Employee of the month, and frankly I credit Dax for that. Listen to this podcast and you may end up getting a blowy to it.
-
izzi ThailandDreadfulWill never listen to this podcast again. What was the point of all the swearing? Having Prince Harry on did nothing for the standard or quality of this podcast.
-
IzzyissiReally?A load of narcissistic ****** punctuated by manic laughter from fawning female.
-
Serafael💔Wish you weren’t moving to Spotify!😢😢 But good luck you wonderful people ❤️💔❤️
-
ChalkwellStrange interviewThis had the opportunity to be a really powerful discussion but when the guest is constantly interrupted mid-point and the facts trivialised - it loses impact. Also the Duke’s eloquence and intelligence is hardly a surprise?! Perhaps if Dax had researched beyond the surface then the conversation might have been more insightful. Also as a Brit I found the constant swearing in front of a (former) royal quite disrespectful.
-
nope_1986Monica’s laugh gets worse every episodeSeriously, I used to love this podcast but I now can’t listen to an episode without Monica’s laugh driving me to distraction
-
whousdaxHarryDreadful. Haven’t a clue who Dax or the woman is but listened to negate the tabloid coverage. It was kind.
-
jayraithQuality!First time listening to this podcast. Enjoying the Prince Harry episode. I was in a terrible mood, I now have a smile on my face! Thank you!
-
jimmy doverWon’t be listening on SpotifyGreat show, shame I won’t be able to listen because I won’t be paying for Spotify considering I already use Apple Music
-
lovanotahataLove this podcastIntroduced to this podcast by my friend Lucy ove here in the UK. Fantastic guests and love Dax’s openness about his recovery, (friend of Bill W here too). ❤️

HagubsjsknForgot to sayMonica you ARE a ten!

CSCBSGAnti-racist and pro-feminist unless you’re his buddyDax Shephard uses this podcast to style himself as a thoughtful, anti-racist, feminist liberal. However all of that counts for nothing if you’re one of his buddies. Over the last couple of years, he has given Kelly Osborne a free pass on her racism, Sam Harris a free pass on his Islamophobia and Casey Affleck a free pass on being a rapist. If he is challenged or criticised on his Instagram page, he simply deletes comments or turns them off. This whole podcast enterprise is clearly to promote himself, bolster his ego and feed his narcissism. His co-host, Monica, who is a person of colour, should be embarrassed and ashamed of herself for supporting it-but I guess she has to pay the bills somehow. I would like to give it zero stars or less, but you can’t post this comment unless you give it a minimum of one star.
-
dndjdjsbnsnCould give it no stars if I couldWhy does Dax constantly interrupt his guests to tell a story about himself ? So rude and no one is listening for him, focus on the guests!!! Just shut up and let them talk!!
-
Lucca73Brilliant podcast! One of my faves….I’ve been listening to Armchair for a couple of years and always meant to write a review. I genuinely think this show gets better each week. It’s been an absolute tonic during lockdown! The format works so well with the different segments. Informative, diverting, entertaining and always packed with laughter!
-
fanoffilmsBest podcast I’ve listened toI’ve been listening to armchair expert for quite sometime now and not written a review. Think now is a really great time to write one after listening to the episode with Hank Azaria. I actually learnt a lot about the effects of stereotyping and under representation through that one episode. The episodes with David farrier are so good too.
-
Fraser777fraserEcho chamber...So biased and boring.
-
Belled armpitsExtremely average. Not particularly funny or insightful. Dax genuinely strikes me as someone I’d try an avoid getting into conversation with.
-
JudithFranInteresting speakers, disappointing discussionsYou really need to fact check your opinions and information on the British Royal Family - it’s history and legacy! All your discussions about them have been completely incorrect and sensationalised! It’s frustrating to hear this when you get such good speakers on other topics.
-
kirbynlDax and Monica have become my best friendsOver lockdown last year I discovered this podcast, and I ADORE EVERYTHING. Every interview is brilliant even if I don’t know the guest and I take away something from each one. I love how Monica and Dax can disagree and speak openly about why/how they feel about the other person. It’s teaching me how to become a better communicator. Adore everything about this podcast and the two hosts. Highlight of my week.
-
Crashes and data wipeOne my favesOne of my favourite podcasts of all time. Heard Zak on Brene’s podcast with Tim Ferris and have since fallen in love! I love the interplay between Zak and Monica! Keep it up guys!! X
-
Midfield CorporalA little egotistical.Generally an interesting listen, although it tends to get a little tiresome hearing Dax tell every guest how much they have in common and turning every subject back to himself. The most interesting conversations are normally with the non Hollywood guests in my opinion.
-
emmapushSoo interesting and funLove listening to you and Monica and now David too. Always learn so much from all you different guests 👍🏻 Love your relationship and honesty if you need a bestie in the uk ✌🏻hahah also Monica and Jess need a part two in dating in the pandemic
-
Londongirl8Brilliant podcast!Dax and Monica your podcasts just keep getting better and better. The level of interesting conversation is good. Love the fact there is no political pushing or any other agenda other than good, relaxing, informative interactions. This is definitely my go to podcast.
-
kg112277Great podcastLove dax and miniature mouse! Such a broad range of guests, often unexpected
-
sarahjrossLove this podcastGreat guests and an honest open host
-
whataboutparis89You’re both such amazing humans!I love this show so much! Unlike a lot of other ‘talk show’ style podcasts, Dax really manages to delve deep into super interesting conversation with his guests! He has a great knack of getting them comfortable and opening up to speak about REAL topics they may not have spoke about before! I also love Monica and Dax’s fact checking and debates afterwards! They show how sometimes you can have a difference of opinion without killing the other person in an argument! 🤣 I’m so glad I found this podcast and I want to say that the Day 7 episode was so moving and I hope Dax is really proud of himself for being so open 💜
